Chapter 30 ♔

I sighed in defeat. I guess I'm left with no other choice..

I dialed Jihoon's number and he picked up right away, "Annyeong noona! It's been so long since you called! What's up?" 

I smiled at his energetic tone. God, I didn't realize how much I missed that voice. "Hey Jihoon...I'm sorry to bother you but can I ask for a favour?"

"Sure! What is it?"

"I-I think I have a really bad fever and I need some- Achooo!!" I sneezed in the middle of my sentence.

He laughed, "Yes I can definitely tell you have a fever. Geez, it's the middle of summer! Why are you falling sick at such a time? Are you even taking care of yourself Y/N?" he scolded.

I smiled at his concerned tone. It was so touching to see someone actually cared about me..

He spoke again, "Hello?? Earth to my crazy Y/N~ You still there?"

I laughed, "Y-Yes Jihoon...I'm still here- Aaachoo!!" I sneezed again. 

"Woah you're sneezing a lot! Are you really okay? You know what, stay right there. I'm coming over to your house with medicine," he said.

My eyes widened, "R-Really? You would do that for me?"

"Of course I would pabo! I can't just leave you alone when you're sick! So just hang in there...I'll be there in 15 minutes okay?" he urged.

I nodded, "O-Okay Jihoon. Oh! By the way...I'm a-also on my p-period and there's no more sanitary pads so.." I said awkwardly.

I felt him blushing through the line, "O-Oh really? A-Alright Y/N...I'll get those for you too. Okay...bye," he said and hung up.

I silently laughed at how flustered he got. He really is the most precious little bean...

Oh Jihoon...what would I do without you?

Surely enough, Jihoon was here in exactly 15 minutes. 

Once I heard the doorbell, I rushed down the stairs despite how nauseous I felt.

I opened the door to be greeted with Jihoon's bright face.

He gave me a bright smile, "Hey Y/N! It's been a long time! Looking as cute as ever I see~" he chuckled.

I was about to reply but suddenly felt extremely dizzy. My vision started blacking out and I started falling forward.

Jihoon's eyes widened and he stepped forward and caught me in his arms, saving me from the fall.

The last thing I remember was his warm arms wrapped around me and his gentle voice calling out my name in panic.

And then, I blacked out.

I opened my eyes and realized I was back in my room, lying on my bed. There was a wet cloth placed on my forehead.

I sat up and looked around the room and noticed it was empty. But then I noticed a plastic bag on my night table. The bag had a simple note attached to it that read:

For Y/N ❀ ~ from Jihoon <3  ❀

I smiled at the note and looked into the bag. And to my content, all the essential items I needed were in there. Pads, Advil, painkillers, hot packs and more. 

I let out a sigh in relief. Phew, thank god I have someone like Jihoon in my life. He's always there when I need him. He's never let me down even once~
