nothing gold will gray

a wise poet once said
nothing gold can stay
the leaves will soon wither
and the sun will go away

and it's true the sun sets
and the seasons will always change
money will run out
since nothing gold can stay

the gold is fantastical,
a light that you would pray
for the gold to come into your life
and hope that it will stay.

and the well-wishings work
as the sun rises over the bay
because the gold is love
and love will never gray.

my interpretation of 'nothing gold can stay' by Robert Frost.
