Chapter 14

Leo's POV

"All I remember is you coming up the stairs and yelling," He tells me. "Are y-you sure?" I ask, sniffling. "Yeah, why?" He asks me curiously. "Well, after I yelled, I pushed you onto everyone's arms," I tell him. He looked at me, "Is that all?" I say, "Well, then we swung you and threw you out the window, and you were enjoying it and yelling, but then you hit the trampoline headfirst." "Is that why I'm here?" "Yeah, y-you weren't responding so I carried you to my car and drove you here. Then, when we got here, some nurses and doctors took you away on this bed." I stand there, not sure what to say. Then I ask, "Does your mom have a phone?" He tells me, "Yeah. Her number is 228-903-8829." [A/N: Not a real phone number] I get out my red iPhone and type in the number and put it in my contacts as Nico's Mom. I call her and tell her what happens and about 20 minutes later, she gets here. She runs into the room and says, "Oh Gods, are you alright Nico?!?!?!" Then she runs over and hugs Nico. I step out of the room and see everyone else sitting in chairs looking anxious. Hazel sees me and asks, "Is he alright?" "Yeah, he's fine. His mom is talking to him now," I tell them, and everyone relaxes. I see Jason give Percy a meaningful look and think, "What's that about?" Then Jason and Percy stand up and leave. Nico's mom walks out of the door and comes over to me. "Thank you so much for calling me," "Yes, ma'am," I say. "Please, call me Janine," She tells me. Then she says goodbye an leaves. I walk back into Nico's room and step over to him. Before I realize what I'm doing, I'm kissing him. Nico lies there as rigid as a board, and I stop. I take a step back and say, "Holy Hephaestus, what did I do?" Then I turn around and run out the door, not stopping even when someone tries to grab my arm. "Mierda, mierda, mierda, mierda, mierda!" I say as I sprint to my car. [A/N: Translation: Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!] I jump into my car, put the keys in the ignition, and floor it, completely forgetting the seat belt.
