"Ohana means family, and family means no one gets left behind" is an ironically fitting theme for this one and now I'm sad
————————
Grian took a deep breath as he stood in front of the nice oak door.

This could go wrong so many way...

As he had said every time he returned to this build.

But it had to be done, so channeling every once of bravery he had (which was debatably not a lot) he raised his hand and knocked on the door.

"NPC Grian, I'm home!"

Grian pushes open the door to the rustic house and slowly walked forward. The house was as he last remembered it- clean, bright, homely, and completely silent. There was a cold air to it, something unnaturally perfect.

"NPC...?" Grian called again to his android counterpart. A shadow covered the natural sunlight from one of the windows.

Grian took a deep, shaky breath and slowly turned around with his hands where the other could see them.

"Hey, man..."

It was rather ominous to see a robotic version of yourself floating in midair, shadowed and covering the main light source in the room.

"HELLO GRIAN."

Grian breathed a sigh of relief. He wasn't going to be attacked... right now at least.

"How's it been, NPC?" Grian asked, easily more comfortable knowing this fact. NPC Grian floated down towards the floor and looked at his feet, attentively trying to mimic Grian's standing position with his feet flat and phasing through the cobblestone floor.

"I AM ALRIGHT. HOW ARE YOU. IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME GRIAN." NPC Grian said in his monotone voice, although Grian knew the likely implied tone.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry about that, I've just been really busy with the new SMP I was invited to, so much to do! And there's so many great people who are all some of the best of their skills, but everything moves so fast it's hard to get away. I've tried to come say hi like three times, but something came up that I couldn't get away from," Grian apologized. It wasn't much of an excuse, he knew. But it was the truth... if only most of it but not quite all.

NPC Grian seemed to accept that answer. "ALRIGHT. I UNDERSTAND. YOU ARE BUSY GRIAN AND I CANNOT HELP."

Grian gave his android buddy a sad smile. "Let's go sit down, and I'll tell you about what I've been getting up to."

Now, here are a few common misconceptions about NPC Grian:

1. Grian created him on accident. He had no idea what the spell scroll was that summoned him was, it what it said, only that there were buildings drawn on it that happened to also encircle the temple-ish area he has stumbled across looking for a new place to build. Reading the scroll out loud and joking about, he assumed after the fact that the scroll had taken his knowledge of demons (which was next to nothing) and... something else, he wasn't sure what, to create a robotic being that the spirit of a demon was placed into, with the goal to create rustic houses for some strange reason.

2. NPC Grian wasn't ALWAYS bad. Yes, at first, he terrified the human since constantly glowing red eyes in the night above your bed were incredibly ominous and freaky and being threatened to build for days on end with no food or sleep was exhausting, but eventually the two had come to an understanding of each other. Grian taught NPC Grian how to chill a little, and NPC taught Grian more about himself so they weren't at odds with each other. Neither particularly liked that, since they did have an interesting bond of wanting to care for one another, in a strange sense.
