Chapter 29 ♔

Suddenly, my phone started ringing, causing Daniel to let go of me.

I took my phone out of my pocket to check the caller. It was Daniel's eomma.

Daniel saw it too and smiled, "Go on, pick it up~" he ushered

I nodded and picked up the call, "Y-Yeoboseyo?"

"Hi sweetie!! It's me, Daniel's eomma! How are you doing today, everything alright?" her energetic voice spoke.

I looked at Daniel and saw him nodding passionately, "Uhh yeah! Everything's great with me! How about you eomma?"

She giggled, "I'm doing great too! You must be wondering why I'm not home by now. Actually, I'm at a bridal shop. I'm shopping for a perfect wedding dress for you!"

My eyes widened. Wedding dress? Already??

"O-Oh I see...but eomma, don't you think it's too early for that? The wedding is still far away.."

"Oh nonsense sweetie~ It's never too early to be prepared! I'm just so excited for your and Daniel's wedding that I couldn't wait any longer haha~ But don't worry, I'm just window shopping. Of course, I wouldn't select your dress on my own! How about we go dress shopping together sometime?" she proposed.

"O-Ok...that sounds good eomma," I replied.

"Good! Now tell me, how do you like my son so far? Is he treating you like a princess?"

I looked at Daniel once more and he nodded, "Y-Yeah eomma. H-He treats we very well haha."

"Phew that's a relief! Is Daniel with you right now?? Can you pass the phone to him?"

"Uhm okay," I passed the phone to Daniel, which he happily took.

"Hey eomma! What's up?" he spoke enthusiastically.

"Hey Dannie!! Just wanted to say hi~ You're treating Y/N well right? She's your soon-to-be wife after all!"

He laughed, "Of course eomma! I'm treating her even better than Queen Elizabeth! You don't have to worry, she's very happy with me."

"Good good! You know your wedding is coming up soon, right? I'm here picking out a beautiful dress for Y/N, so make sure you pick out a suit too!"

He nodded, "Yes eomma I will. I'm going to make her dress and my suit match, so the wedding can be perfect. I can't wait to make Y/N my wife either~"

Eomma squealed, "Ahhh you two are so perfect together! I can already tell how much you love each other! Never break up, okay? Promise me that you'll never leave her."

"Haha yes eomma, I promise. Even if she wants to leave, I'll never let her leave."

"Good! That's my son! Well I have to go now, take care!" she said and hung up.

Daniel turned off the phone and looked at me, "See jagi? My mom loves you, she loves us together. Imagine how heartbroken she'd be if we separated...you don't want to break eomma's heart, do you?"

"Uhm...no.." I replied hesitantly.

He smiled in content, "Good. Then let's make sure we never break up, okay? We can live happily together and grow old together. Then eomma will be so happy~ So what do you say...will you forgive me?"

I blinked in confusion and studied Daniel's face. His tone was incredibly calm but he had a twisted look in his eyes...kinda like those Yandere anime characters.

At this point, I felt too scared to even refuse him.

When I didn't reply, he sighed and walked towards the desk where the photo album and CD were. He picked up the photo album and CD with one hand and dug through his pocket with his other hand.

"Uhm Daniel...what are you doing?" I asked cautiously.

He smirked, "You'll see~"

He pulled a cigarette lighter out of his pocket and used it to set the album and CD on fire. They started burning immediately and the room became filled with smoke.

A few minutes later, the album and CD were reduced to ashes in Daniel's hands. He simply disposed of the ashes and threw them in the trash.

My eyes widened in disbelief at his actions. No way...did he really need to go that far?

He smiled at my expression and walked towards me, "See jagi? I got rid of it. All of mine and Kelly's memories are gone now. Just like my feelings for her...long gone. From now on, I will only love you and pay attention to you, okay?"

He then stood directly in front of me and placed his hands on my shoulders, "So please...I'll ask you this one more time. Will you forgive me?"

I blinked in fear as his eyes intensely bore into mine.

It didn't seem like a question....more like a demand.

I didn't think twice before answering, "Yes Daniel, I'll forgive you."
