WARNING: Mentions of attempted suicide, mentions of cutting, depressing shit, all sorts of betrayal stuff, just. Bad Tony. PPPS is coming for your ass in this one.

Spider-verse stuff :)

(Btw sorry if Miles seems a little out of character, he has to be for this to work)

This is actually more of a Dad!Peter and Son!Miles relationship rather than Irondad, so.... yeah.

Peter Parker POV

   It had been 5 years ago.

   Doesn't make it sting any less, but you know. Time had passed. And I had moved on.

   Mostly.

   Ever since Joshua, the blonde-haired blue-eyed Golden Boy replaced me, life had gone down hill for me.

   But I decided, there was no use crying about it. Not anymore.

   I built myself back up again. Got a stable job, looked away from the signs praising Joshua, or anything having to do with the avengers, training as Spider-Man, etc. Being 21 was hard, and my photography job isn't exactly... exciting or well-paying, but what can I say? It gets the job done, at least.

   And now, I've got MJ, Ned, Miles, and May, and as far as I'm concerned, I don't need anyone else. And I was going to be a better mentor to Miles. Better than him.

   I knew I had changed drastically. The bags under my eyes grew thick, my hair sloppy, my eyes mostly dull, my life a mess. But, hey, it's better than dead in a ditch. And who cares? That overly trusting, over eager boy is gone, dead to the world and to me. That constant reminder of who I was. Who I looked up too.

   "Who's that?" Miles said, pointing at a photo. I looked at it and saw him. Him and Joshua.

   "No one important, kid." I said, turning away so my eyes were hidden from Miles.

   "Well, it obviously someone important Peter. He's on the news!" Miles said, gesturing at the damn photo.

   "... look kid, it's just Mr. S-" I caught myself, remembering my swear. My swear not to say his name. "... just some celebrity. He's not important. Not to us."

   Miles looked more confused. "What's up with you? Why don't you like-" He paused to read that damn name, "-Tony Stark? Seems like a genius. I thought you liked science stuff?"

   "Look kid, I don't want to talk about it okay?" I snapped, raising my voice slightly. Miles looked a little hurt and I sighed, saying, "S-sorry kid... it s just- ... we have a history. It's, um, complicated. I just... I can't talk about it. I'm sorry kid. There's too many emotions that come with that- with that man. I'm sorry."

   "Hey, it's okay Peter. And if you don't wanna talk to him, or want me to talk about him, I won't." Miles said, looking worried. "And hey, we're Spider-Man. Spider-Men? Whatever. We can fend him off."

   I laughed at Miles antics, saying, "Sure kid. Now, what'd ya say we continue patrol, huh?"

                                       ~~~Time skip UwU~~~
   When I heard a knock at my door, I didn't suspect a thing.
   That's why I stood there in shock, looking at the damn man I swore I wouldn't think about.
