"Pasensya na ulit kagabi ha. Pinilit niya kasi talaga na sa tabi mo matulog. Kung hindi naman namin pagbibigyan, eh iiyak yan buong gabi." paliwanag ni ate Medusa sa nangyari kagabi.
Tinitingnan naman namin si Dahlia na abalang-abala sa kanyang mga laruan.
"Okay lang, ate. Buti nga napatahan namin siya ni Ericka kagabi." sabi ko.
"We even watched cartoons so that she can forget her nightmare." si Ericka.
"About her nightmare," panimula ko.
"Your father told a story to Dahlia about you." walang prenong sabi ni ate Medusa.
My breath hitched because of that. Did my father told Dahlia about me dealing illegal drugs, smuggling weapons and killing people? Did baby Dahl knew what my job is?
I felt my heart race as I breath faster and faster.
Why did my father told Dahlia that I am using guns in my work?! Ano pa ba ang gusto niya? Did he wanted me to suffer all my life?
"Excuse," I said as my voice broke.
Pumunta ako sa aking kwarto at kinuha ang susi ng aking Blazer, ang aking wallet at cellphone. Palabas ako ng kuwarto siya rin ang pag pasok ni Ericka.
"Phaedra, are you- Hey!" sigaw niya nang nilagpasan ko siya.
I half ran my way out of my unit because they are calling me one by one.
Agad ko namang pinaandar ang Chevy at bago pa man mabuksan ni Kobi ang passenger seat, pinaharurot ko na ito palabas ng parking area.
I drove my way to the Silvestre mansion to see my evil stepfather. When the guards at the gate saw me, they look shocked because I was alone. I stopped my car in front of the mansion and then got the spare gun that's placed at the back seat.
I stepped outside my car and put my gun behind me, covering it with my shirt.
"M-miss Phaedra, napadalaw kayo?" tanong ni Angel, isang tauhan ni Daddy dito.
"Where is he?" malamig kong tanong.
"N-nasa loob po," sabi niya kaya naman dire-diretso rin akong pumasok sa mansyon.
She directed me to the dining room and there I saw him laughing and talking with my mother.
"Phaedra, anak!" tawag ni Mommy sa akin.
"Mm!" si Daddy as he wiped his mouth. "What brings you here, Phaedra?" tanong niya.
"What did you tell Dahlia?" giit kong tanong.
Lumaki ang ngisi niya at nag kunwari pa siyang hindi niya alam ang tinutukoy ko.
"Oh! Did she tell her tita Louie what her grandpa told her?" he said.
"Renato," tawag ni Mommy sa kanya.
"Daddy!" I exclaimed.
"I just told her that you're good at using guns, Phaedra! Isn't that a bad thing?!" he said as he raise his voice.
"Dad! Dahlia is still young!" sigaw ko. "Did you know, she had a nightmare last night and did you know what is it? She dreamnt about me killing people!" I screamed as I stopped my tears from falling.
My cruel father didn't react at first but he's slowly laughing and then he laughed devilish!
"Then her nightmare is not wrong, Phaedra!" tumatawang sabi ni Dad.
"Renato, that's enough." si Mommy. "Phaedra, why don't you join us for breakfast?" sabi niya sa akin.
"I will not be on the same table with this evil person." may diin kong sabi.
