“Are you going home for the holiday?”
“Are you?”
“Yes, I am.” I paused, “Monica likes California and so do I. My parents want us to have a normal Christmas, even though we’re clearly not normal.”
He didn’t laugh. He just stared into the dark night sky above us. I put my hand on his. “What are you thinking?” I asked softly.
I watched his chest gradually move up and down, silently lacing my fingers through his.
“Nothing.” He finally answered.
“Tell me.” I said more firmly. “Please?”
He looked at me with tired eyes. “I’m so sorry.” He whispered. “I didn’t want to, it’s just-“
“Stop.” I said. “It’s in the past.” I shrugged slightly and nuzzled closer to him, wrapping his left arm around me, burying my face in his shirt.

I curled my fingers around the blankets and pulled them up to my chin, sinking deeper into the cozier than normal mattress. As I rolled closer to the edge of the bed I felt something warm and soft touch my arm.
My eyes shot open and I blinked, attempting to understand where I was. I was not in my bed and I was not in my room. The sun was only just rising and the drapes were drawn over the large window.
I stared at the person next to me, silently wondering what I was doing in his bed. Then my eyes widened and fear flooded my mind.
“Did we…?” I asked slowly.
Draco laughed slightly. “You mean, did we do the dirty deed?”
He smirked when I nodded. “Multiple times.” He whispered. My jaw fell and I couldn’t speak. He leaned on his elbow and put his lips to my ear. “Hearing you scream my name was the best part.”
He dropped back down next to me and studied my astonished face. I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t believe what I did.
“I don’t even remember.” I said, my voice barely a whimper.
Then his face turned serious and he gently touched my cheek. “I’m only messing with you.” He said. “I made it up.” He smiled slowly and anger filled my gut.
“How dare you!” I shouted. I sat up and pushed him out of the bed and onto the cold floor. He hit the ground with a thud and I smiled at my work.
“Hey!” He argued. I pushed him again when he got back up and rolled over to the farthest side of the bed, closest to the wall.
“This isn’t fair.” He said as he climbed back in bed. I could feel his body behind me. I could feel him lock me in his arms and pull me into him. I could feel his heart beating like wild through his shirt.
“Yes it is fair.” I said in a cold tone. “I’m not talking to you.”
He sighed. “Fine,” He rolled away from me and got out of bed again. “I’ll just go to breakfast early.” I rolled to watch him and sprung out of bed when he reached for the door knob.
My fingers lunged at the door and pushed it shut. My hand went flat and all my weight leaned against the wood.
“I don’t want you to go.” I said honestly.
His hand grazed mine and pulled me away from the door. He touched his fingertips to the edge my jaw and tilted my face up towards his. I stared into his cool gray eyes, searching for what he was thinking, but coming up short.
“Nothing happened.” He whispered. I nodded slowly in return. “I don’t miss summer anymore.” He smiled slightly and I raised an eyebrow.
“What?” I asked.
“You know what my favorite thing is?” He smirked and I forgot all about the previous statement. A million different things ran through my mind and I couldn’t put my finger on which was his favorite.
“No, what is it?” I asked.
He took my other hand in his and pulled me towards the bed. Suddenly the space between us was closed and he pulled me down on top of him. I gasped and laughed, rolled off of him.
“This. This is my favorite thing.” He said quietly, grinning and turning himself over me. My heart pounded through my chest as I pushed myself up just enough to touch my lips to his.
He almost drew back in surprise, but pushed me back down and moved his lips with mine. He was soft and sweet, and strong and steady at the same time. He tasted like mint toothpaste and smelled like the night air.
My fingers did what they pleased and traced every contour of his body; up his arms, over his shoulders, down his chest, all over. I tried my hardest to memorize every crease and every detail of his smooth skin.
I slowed my hands and let them rest on his waist. He pulled back and looked me in the eyes. A shiver ran up my spin and he leaned down to kiss me again. This time he was even gentler, almost like he was afraid he’d break me.
He pulled away again but quick ducked below my eyesight, landing his lips on my neck. My head rolled back and I giggled.
“Draco,” I said, completely out of breath.
He didn’t stop. He just kept trailing kisses from right beneath my ear to the corner of my mouth. I moaned quietly and pulled his head up, kissing him once more.
Eventually he rolled off of me and caught his breath. He turned his head to look and me and I felt his fingers graze the end of the large t-shirt I was wearing, which I knew for a fact was not mine.
“Please don’t ever let me go.”
