"This is exactly why we argued before you left!" I practically yelled, groaning in frustration. I don't want to cause a scene and upset Jordan. Calmly, I managed to respond, "can you please stop putting up this front? What is wrong, Cristiano? I keep asking you and asking you and you won't reply! Just tell me, please."

He stared at me and I stared back, waiting for an answer that never came. I scoffed softly, shaking my head and my eyes landed upon the ring on my finger.

I lifted my hand and slowly managed to slid it off, handing it over to him. I licked my lips, bitterly looking at him in disdain. "You can have it; it's not like I trust you anymore."

I went to walk away but he grabbed my wrist, pulling me back so I faced him. I glared at him, rolling my eyes. "Let me go. I don't want to talk to you."

"I'm not hiding anything. Will you stop being so paranoid?" He snapped, glaring at me too. I sighed again, his grip on my wrist tightening. I glanced back upwards to his eyes.

He's on something

"Let go of me, Cristiano," I cautiously said, my eyes filled with seriousness as I tried to wriggle my way out of his strong grasp.

"Who was that pervert you were with? You seriously danced with him? Are you that desperate?"

I grew more and more nervous as his tight grip only got worse and he pulled me closer to him, challengingly looking into my eyes. "You're on something. We can talk when you're clean-"

"I am fucking clean-"

"No, you're not! Get off me!"

"I think you should leave, Cris," Gage began, his voice deep and cautious as he approached. He scoffed and I yanked my wrist away as his grip loosened. Rubbing it, I stared at him in disbelief, close to bursting into tears.

"Stay the hell out of my business," he snapped back as Dax came over.

"Look, this is Jordan's birthday and he does not want anything to ruin his party. Just go, Cris."

He scoffed and I looked away as he met my eyes. Mine moved to Jordan who had noticed our gathering.

Oh no

He came through the crowd, an unimpressed look on his face. Gage and Dax stood in front of me as though they were blocking me from Cristiano. I didn't need protection but I also didn't want to speak to Cris.

"What is going on this time? Damn, can I ever have a good birthday?" Jordan gritted out, his voice filled with anger which was a surprise because, Jordan was never usually angry.

"I don't even know why you're all here. I'm talking to Rose. Rose, come here," Cris countered, his eyes intently on me. I shook my head, wrapping my arms around myself. Swallowing roughly, I tried not to cry. "I think you should go."

He stared at me, almost in disbelief and replied harshly, "why?"

"You're ruining my party!" Jordan practically whined. "Go before I get security."

"Wow," Cristiano sarcastically said, glancing at each of our faces. "So much for fucking family, huh? Fine. I'll leave. I think the thot last night treated me better than all of you."

I know he did not just fucking say that

He started to storm away whilst I gaped at him but a wave of rage swept over me. I lunged over, so close to hitting him but Gage held me back whilst I screamed at him, yelling obscenities and shouting for him to come back and explain but he had already left, just like we wanted him to.
