YET CAGED..

I had cupped lightly,

In my palms,

A small, delicate body.

With her pointed beak,

She tweaks and chirps,

Looking around curiously,

Finding her actual home,

Of trees and merry creatures.

She,

The little grey head,

White strips adorned her neck,

Her back a greyish hue,

Her bottom a deep orange,

Those small yet powerful wings,

Spanning the greyish hue,

As I lightly threw her in the air,

Lifts her high in the sky,

She flies soaring new heights,

Those feathers ruffling and arraying,

As the wind nipped past her.

I watched it disappear,

Within the heights of the sky.

'Go little birdie', I whisper.

She finally freed, I smiled.

The golden cage thrown far away,

Long forgotten.

It was now my time,

To follow the soaring high steps,

To reach the freeness

Of my infinite limits,

I had yet caged off in my mind.

To let them scale up,

As I reached new heights...

Towards my new beginnings..

Towards my many goals..
