"How are you able to hold me with those twigs." I say, and point to his arm.

"Damn, harsh, and I do hate her." He says, and he pulls me closer to him.

"So why won't you let me?"

"Because I guess I'm the only one here smart enough to realise that you will get in trouble."

"No. I realised that. I just don't care."

"Let's go to class." He says, and pulls me down the hallway.

"I hate you. You know that?" I ask.

"Yeah. I do. What happened between us anyway?" He asks

"You became a dick." I answer, and walk into class.

"Sit." He says, and finally let's me go.

"Ruff." I sarcastically bark, and roll my eyes.

"Ha. Funny." He says, and pulls a binder out of his backpack.

"And you wonder why we drifted apart." I say, and the bell rings.

-----

Colby gets into the passengers seat, and I start the car.

"Which mall are we going to?" Corey asks.

"You'll see." I answer.

"Why are you making us do this?" Sam asks.

"We are all going to stop hating each other. That's my goal here." I say.

"We don't hate each other." Brennen says.

"Oh yeah. You all hate me." I say, and everyone goes silent.

"Yeah. See." I back out of Colby's driveway, and drive off.

"I don't hate you." Jake says, and I nod.

"I know that."

"Neither do I." Colby cuts in.

"Okay. Brennen, Corey, and Sam hate me for some odd reason." I say, and Jake plugs in the aux cord.

"No one here hates you but Sam." Brennen says. I ignore him.

"Y'all are bout to be bopping." Jake says as he scroll through his music.

"One: never say that again, and two: it better not be what I think it is." I say, and he plays the song. I groan, and Jake laughs.

502 come up... Again.

"Sing with me!" Jake yells, and I shake my head.

"Fuck that!" I yell over the loud music.

"Woke up in the hills this morning!" Jake sings.

"Asking myself, how did I get here this morning?" Corey adds.

"Vante Parker is that teal and orange
And Russel in the gold and purple youngest from the ville imported!" Colby adds on.

"I used to sit up in my room and ponder. Finish school, and get a doctor's!" We all sing, and i surprisingly sing with them.

"Go Kaylee!" Brennen yells, and I laugh.

COLBYS POV-

"Go Kaylee!" Brennen yells, and Kaylee laughs. Her laugh... This may sound cheesy but it's like music to my ears. When I heard her laugh, I couldn't help but smile. I look her up and down, and admire her body, and I see a confused look come across her face.

"What are you looking at?" Kaylee asks me as her eyes are still on the road.

"Nothing." I smile. The boys continue to sing.
