“W-What are you saying? You’re so embarrassing,” I stumbled on my words.
He walked closer to me,
gently curling his fingers underneath my hand.
I flinched at the first touch, feeling shy.
But Hatori never hesitated; it’s as if he’d prepared for this.
“I told you, I don’t care,” he whispered in my ear, allowing my cheeks to flush.
He pulled back slightly away from my ear, his black hair caressing my cheek.
In a moment, his face was only a few inches away from mine.
I knew what this was, even though I’ve never done it before.
At first I was scared and unprepared,
not knowing if I should go with it or run away again.
But I knew Hatori wasn’t going to let me go this time.
Just like that day when I confessed,
me flinching or looking away wasn’t going to stop him.
I just closed my eyes, allowing the natural impulse to take over me.
And then they touched.
His lips were warm against mine, the feeling was sensational.
I don’t know what a good kiss or bad kiss felt like,
but tonight I knew for sure,
that my first kiss felt surreal.
