The next time I opened my eyes I was still in the school infirmary.
The clock read four o’clock.
I sat up abruptly and I heard a groan beside me.
“Ugh… Huh, are you awake?” it was Hatori.
Was he sleeping there all this time?
And right beside me…
“Why are you still here?” I asked, dumbfounded.
“Inoue and the others had club activities,
so they asked me to fill in for them. Mendokusai na,” he complained.
“Gomen… why didn’t you wake me?”
There was a silence, Hatori’s slightly pink cheeks turned away from me.
“I couldn’t. You looked like you were having a good dream,”
“Haha, what’s that about? I don’t remember any dreams,” I teased.
“Urusai. Come on, here’s your bag. I’ll walk you home,”
He stood up and slung his navy bag over his shoulder.
I nodded reluctantly.
Since I knew I still had something to say to him.
