“No, definitely no, not a chance!” I said, ending any chance of me touching bugs.
We were all laughing like that was the funniest thing.
And then Hatori-kun was quiet.
“Sorry.
I was just a little angry about it…
Rumors spread even if they’re not all true.”
Is he saying that the rumor about me liking him
he thought that wasn’t true?

“It’s okay... Uhm, sorry I slapped you.”
Michiyo, the genius that she is, thought of a witty response.
“Yeah, Aiko-chan was just a little angry about it” mimicking how Hatori-kun said it.
“Haha, not funny Inoue-san”
“Says the person who’s laughing!”
Michiyo really knows how to brighten up the atmosphere.
