“S-Sorry,” I said, trying to admit to the fact that I was actually ignoring him.
“It’s okay, I kind of ignored you too,” he responded.
And then there was an awkward silence.
There was just the wind, and the swings shrieking.
Trees crackling and some other noises that I didn’t know of.
“I saw Akimoto confess today,” he said.
Where was this conversation leading?
Why did he call me out here?
It wasn’t just to talk about stuff like this… right?
“Ah, yeah me too! I didn’t know he had it in him,” I said, trying to act cheery.
“Really? I thought he was a really straightforward guy,”
“Hmmm,” I thought for a while and remembered that day before Fuuka left,
“Actually, he is a straightforward guy huh?”
“Yeah…” he paused, waiting for the right moment to say the next few words.
“Well I didn’t call you out here to talk about all that,
so let me just get to the point.”
