Noone's pov.

It has been a few minutes since the fair maiden (Y/n) had returned to Amun's side and started chatting with the boy's father. Out of the corner of her eye she notices that Moses and his wife were making their way to the palace's grand stone doors. (Y/n) thought with what argument she could excuse herself from the ruler's presence. Luckily, Hotep and Hoy came from nowhere and started chatting with the Pharaoh, and the girl found a great opertunity to slip away and go after Moses.

Meanwhile Moses and Tzipporah were making their way down the large marble stairs from the Palace. Both of them were upset that Rameses had refused to cooperate and to submit to God's will.

"Moses wait!" a familiar voice called out to said male and he turned back to the Palace entrance to see his old friend running down the steps to catch up on them.

Soon enough both of their bodies crashed into each other's as they pulled in for a tight hug.

"Moses," (Y/n) said as she pulled away from the hug. "why are you leaving? You just got here. And where were you all those years? How did you survive?"

"(Y/n)...Rameses did not comply to God's wishes. He doesn't want to let my people go." Moses said calmly yet saddened. "And I can't stay here in the Palace. Rameses didn't want me in his presence at the moment."

"Moses....I understand that you want to help the hebrews, but there is nothing you or I or anyone else can do. The Pharaoh is stubborn, you know this-" The girl said as she took the man's hands in her's.

"I am not doing this just because I want to. I'm doing this because the God commands me to do this." Moses said.

"What God?" (Y/n) asked in confusion and desparation. "Moses, will you please just tell me what is going on?"

Moses sighed and Tzipporah spoke up. "The Hebrew God came to him while he was watching over the sheep where we lived. He said  that he needed to convince the Pharaoh of Egypt to let the hebrews go."

As she heard this (Y/n) shook her head and looked at Moses and Tzipporah with fear. "It will not end well. None of this will end well."

"(Y/n)," Tzipporah said as she placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "it will end well. Moses will convince the Pharaoh eventually and the hebrews will be free-"

"But what will it cost?" (Y/n) asked as she moved away from the other girl's touch. "How many lives will have to be sacrificed to appease to the God's demands?"

"What are you talking about?" Moses asked.

"Moses," (Y/n) started to say in a much more calmer voice. "all those years that you were gone and even days before you ran away I have had visions. Most of them terrible outcomes. Outcomes that lead to suffering."

"Find an old ally who I have reached out to..." Moses mumbled under his breath but (Y/n) still heard it.

"What are you talking about? Moses, you are scaring me." the girl said.

"That was one of the last things God told me. It all makes sence." Moses then looked into (Y/n)'s (e/c) eyes and said. "(Y/n)....what you dreamt were prophecies from God. Prophecies of what is about to come."

"Moses......" the girl was at lost for words. "I believe you. I really do."

Moses' face lightened up but his small smile fell when he heard his dearest's friend's next words. ".....but I can't help you with this... I know I have promised to you to help you when you need it. That I will be there when you need me.....but I can't betray Rameses as well"

(Y/n) then looked to Moses as tears were leaking from her eyes. "I' m sorry..."

The girl then picked up the front of her dress and ran up the stairs. Moses could only look at her retreating figure and feel how his heart broke into many peaces.

Not only did he lose a brother that day, but also one of his dearest friends.
