I forgot to add this in the previous chapter, but the imange on top is how (Y/n)'s outfit will look like. Anyway, onward with the story!

(Y/n)'s pov.

"Do you think we'll get into trouble for this?" I herd the voice of Rameses in the distance as I walked down the stairs near the stables and saw the two princes ride through the gates with their golden chariots.

"No, not a chance!" Moses replied and soon enough the servants scrambled to put away the chariots and the horses.

"Actually," I said as I walked towards them and they both turned to me. "there is a chance, Your Highnesses. The Pharaoh has requested your presence in the throne room. It would be best if you went there quickly."

Moses and Rameses then turned to each other with wide eyes and their faces paled. They then both ran past me from each side and ran up the stairs. I then decided to return to the Palace.

As I was walking around I came to the doors to the throne room.  And, me being the cureous person that I am, decided to observe what was about to happen through the little openeing in the door.

"Why do the gods torment me with such reckless, destructive, blasphemous sons?" Pharaoh Seti said disappointingly.

"Father, hear what I-" Rameses started, but the Pharaoh cut him off.

" Be still! Pharaoh speaks." he then turned towards his two sons." I seek to build an empire, and your only thought is to amuse yourselves by tearing it down. Have I taught you nothing?"

" You mustn't be so hard on yourself, Your Majesty. You're an excallent teacher." Hotep said, praising the Pharaoh. I rolled my eyes in annoyance at their behavior.

" It's not your fault your sons learned nothing." Hoy said directly into Moses' face.

"They learned blasphemy." I faintly heard Hotep say.

" True." My eyebrows furrowed slightly in anger. I then moved away to the shadow of a nearby pillar as they exited the throne room and went away. Once they were gone I moved back to my spot.

"Father, the fault is mine. I goaded Rameses on, and so I am responsible." I heard Moses say and a small smile appeared on my face.

" Hmm'Responsible'. Do you know the meaning of that word, Rameses?" The Pharaoh said as he moved closer to his first born son.

" I understand, Father."  Rameses said.

" And do you understand the task for which your birth has destined you? The ancient traditions." I rolled my eyes at the Pharaoh. Oh right, just like it is an 'ancient tradition' to have an ego bigger than the pyramids. " When I pass into the next world, then you will be the morning and evening star."

"One damaged temple does not destroy our tradition." Rameses stubornly said. What are you doing? I thought in panic.

" But one weak link can break the chain of a mighty dynasty!" The Pharaoh yelled at his son. I quietly gasped and moved an arm in front of my mouth.

I then saw the Queen stepping closer to her husband and place a hand on his shoulder. She then motioned towards Rameses with her gaze and the Pharaoh sighed. "You have my leave to go."

"Father-" The Queen then raised a hand to stop Rameses from speaking. He then stormed towards the doors and I quickly moved to the shadows as he slammed the door open and exited.

"Father?" I heard Moses say."You know it was really my fault. Must you be so hard on him?"

"Moses, you will never have to carry a burden Iike the crown I will pass to Rameses. He must not allow himself to be led astray." I saw Pharaoh Seti then place his hand on his second born son's shoulder. "Not even by you, my son."

"All he cares about is... is your approval. I know he will live up to your expectations. He only needs the opportunity." Moses tried to convince the Pharaoh and I silently prayed to the Gods that the Pharaoh will agree with his son.

" Maybe. Maybe so." The Pharaoh said and I mentally cheered and thanked the Gods. "Go now. I shalI see you both tonight."

Moses then exited the throne room and I pretended that I was just passing by.

"You know that eavesdropping on conversations will get you in trouble, right (Y/n)?" Moses said with a joking tone in his voice, yet I still stiffened and my eyes widened even though he could't see. Shit.

He then laughed and placed a hand on my shoulder. "Relax, I was just joking. Well, not about the warning, but you know what I mean."

"My apolegies, Your Highness." I said as I bowed in front of the Prince. "I-"

"(Y/n), please," Moses said as he tilted my chin up to look at him. "You don't have to adress me by my title, you know that."

"I cannot do that, My Prince." I said, slightly moving away from him. "We are in public and if I-"

"Do you see anyone around?" Moses asked, grinning.

I then looked down the hall in both directions and replied. "No. But-"

"Then you have nothing to worry about." he said sincerily.

I then smiled gently towards Moses and nodded my head, my black wig's beads (?) slightly moving with my movements.

"You should probably go and comfort Rameses." I then said after a while. "We both know he needs you right now, Moses."

Moses then smiled and bid me goodbye and then ran down the corridoor and I slowly walked in the other direction, making my way to the rest of the maids who were setting up the party and helping them.
