Avery

  My mind was foggy.

   Where was I?

I tried to remember, but that only made my head hurt like hell. My body was numb. I barely had the strength to open my eyelids. I was lying on a cold cemented floor, it smelled of something rotting and it was dark. I stared into the darkness for a while before my vision adjusted. I was in a basement? I went to sit up, but there was something wrong. Pain shot through my whole body and I cried from it. My hands were tied behind my back and my legs were tied in thick ropes as well.

I hurt, badly.

What had happened to me? Tears dripped down my face and I sob quietly in the dark. I was going to die. I didn't know where I was, or why they kidnapped me, but I was terrified. I couldn't move even an inch without unbearable pain shooting through all ends of me. I think I broke one of my legs, since thats what was hurting the most and my hands tied behind my back have been like that for a while. Something shifted from the far end of the wall. I was currently located in the corner of the dark room with nothing but a metal pole sitting beside me. I wasn't alone.

My breaths came out in gasps and my heart raced with fear. Something was in here with me! I couldn't cry out because it might eat me, I couldn't move or run away. I fell dead silent and laid there, helplessly.

Someone needed to find me, someone please find me.

Luka

I was sitting in the kitchen, with my step father and mother, along with Jane who didn't leave last night.

"Oh no! That's terrible!" My mother exclaimed. I threw my hands against the kitchen counter, pissed off.

"Oh no? That's all you have to say is 'oh no!'!?" I hollered at the top of my lungs. Every flinched when I kicked over the chair.

"Luka! Calm down!" Mr. Toledo demanded. I glared at him.

"How can I calm down!? I want you to hire personal detectives to go find her!" My hands were clenched and shaking with anger. My step father shook his head.

"The police are looking for her right now, I don't want to do that and cause a huge scene with the press." He said calmly then took a sip of his mug. I saw Jane smirk in the corner of my eye. I whipped my head around to look at her.

"You think this is funny?" I asked. She flinched and shook her head.

"No, I don't. The only thing I find funny about this is why you care so much about it." She shrugged. I walked over to her. My mother tried to grab my arm but I yanked my arm away.

"What I find funny is this stupid relationship." I grinned. "We're through."

"Luka!" My mother screamed and I walked out of the kitchen. Jane stood up from the seat and ran over to my mother.

"Mrs. Toledo! Why is he so mean?" Jane cried.

"Luka, what are you doing?" My step father hollered and I took my car keys from a servant who handed them to me.

"I'm leaving. I'm going to find Avery alone." I said and opened the front doors.

"Luka Toledo! You step one foot out of this house, you can never step back in it again!" My mother screamed. "How dare you embarrasse me!"

I turned around to look at the three of them.

"The one who is the most embarrassed, should be me." I turned and slammed the door. I swung my keys around my finger and headed to the car. I picked the phone out of my pocket and dialed a number.

"Hello?" A man with a deep voice answered on the other line of my phone.

"Yeah, I need to ask you a favor."
