Jerome looked confused, unsure how to reply to his drunk abusive mother. There was moment of nothing before Lila's hand swung, hitting Jerome on the side of his head, sending him to the ground.

Still with questions, it took all Jane's courage to speak up to her mother. "W-Where did he go? Is he coming back?"

Lila glared at her. "Like you care. I'm sure you're thrilled to have him gone." Jane had to admit, her mother wasn't wrong. Jeremiah gone meant a slightly easier life for Jane. He was her main tormentor. "But no, he's never coming back." Her eyes went back to her son before kicking him in the side. Jerome grunted. Lila didn't say anything more as she was getting sadder and sadder thinking about her beloved child ripped from her life - and being in the presence of her two least favorite child wasn't helping. She turned and walked out of the room, slamming the door on the way out.

Jane, concerned how her brother would be taking the blame, kneeled down to make eye level with him. "Jerome! Are you okay?"

Jerome looked up and glared at his sister. With one hand on his stomach, he hit her head, causing her to fall over. "Shut up and leave me alone, Jane." Then he stood and walked slowly out the door.

The whole situation was still confusing to Jane. She had one less brother now, but where did he go? Why did he go? Would they ever see him again? It didn't matter much to Jane as she felt a small bit of happiness. Jeremiah was gone. He was truly gone. He couldn't hurt her anymore. That was enough to celebrate.

--------------------------

Jane couldn't help but think about Jeremiah when she returned to her usual seat in the community area. Where was Jeremiah? She hadn't seen him in almost ten years, and even though she went through hell, it was better than if he were in them. Would she ever see him again?

Just the thought of seeing him again made Jane tense. Her grip around the knife she got from Gus tightened, as did the rest of her body from the anxiety. She couldn't go through seeing him ever again.

At this precise moment, the man from the earlier in the week who took it upon himself to publicly beat Jane to make good with her brother spotted Jane. Jane had finally learned that his name was Mike, and he was in for suffocating ten women, a real gentleman. Mike made his way to Jane, a predator stalking its prey. Jerome had asked him to mess with his sister one last time. This time Jerome wanted him to really give it his all, make her break.

When he reached her table, he stood in front of her, leaning over the table to look more intimidating. "Hey lezbo, I see you still got some bruises from the last time I messed with you."

Jane refused to give him the time of day. He wasn't worth it.

The no response didn't make him feel good. Mike narrowed his eyes at her. "Maybe I'll mess with you some more. Teach you to speak when spoken to." He reached over and pushed her off her seat roughly. Jane hit the floor rather harshly. Before Jane could react in time, Mike was on top of her punching her over and over again, like last time.

Seriously? You're just gonna take it again?

Not even gonna fight back a little bit.

You're better than this.

I'm sure if Jeremiah was here, he would spit in disgust over how weak you ended up.

The mention of Jeremiah made something tick in Jane. Suddenly, her rational side was put on the back burner as a monster was unleashed inside her. It felt just like when she choked Big T out. Suddenly, Jane used her knee to kick Mike in the balls, catching him off guard. Then she straddled him, gripping Gus' knife in her hand.

Everything happened so fast. One second, she was his victim. The next, she gripped the knife so hard in her hand. Then proceeded to stab in the chest, several times. She was screaming at the top of her lungs, a true battle cry. She wouldn't leave her victim alive.

At this time, they had gathered quite a crowd. The crowd was loud with excitement. Most of them were murders themselves so seeing another one take place in front of them was satisfying.

Jane's stabbing slowed as she stared down at the motionless man under her. She looked down at her bloody hands. She dropped the knife and stared at the wounds she left. Jane wasn't thinking as her hands went down to the blood that pooled from the wounds, getting her hands extra bloodied. She ran her hands over her face, then through her hair, getting more blood when she ran out. Jane was in a true state of euphoria she had never experienced before.

The guards had finally realized what happened as they ran towards Jane, harshly grabbing her away. Jane's face and hair was covered in Mike's blood and it made her feel so good. She felt so good that as she was being dragged away, Jane couldn't help but laugh. She laughed so hard and so long. She couldn't remember a time she felt this good. Her laugh was manic, spreading across the entire room.

Jane had finally broke, and she felt so free.
