Life in Sicily isn't as horrible as I thought.

Its been a week and a half since I arrived and its fine. I mean, I've lost interest in partying and caring in general, I don't care. I just kind of wander around waiting for something to go down or shit to hit that fan. It's been stressful and annoying, but I don't have another choice. Since I'm still sensitive on my scar, I can't train like before. Still, I hit the gym and train as lightly as possible. Gabriel, Mateo and Ash help me from time to time, fighting against me or just working out alongside me.

Veronica has made us stick to Club Wednesday like a religious practice. She already made us go twice. I'm not allowed to wear skintight clothes, so I have had to go in baggy shirts or loose dresses—not very sexy. Not that I cared anyway, I'm trying to lay off guys anyways. So I was lazy and bored, drinking lemonade while everyone got smashed and had fun. I wasn't allowed to go heavy on the drink because of the cut or whatever.

You don't understand true suffering until you are banned from drinking and have to see your ex flirting with his new girlfriend and not be able to get another drink. It was even worse that she was a total sweetheart and was always nice to me. I couldn't stand to see them, but her niceness made it worse. And with my jealousy, I could barely even stand looking at another guy.

Lucky for me, Ash stayed by my side. We invited them all, and I could tell they didn't want to go, but also felt scared to decline, so they all went.

Today, Friday, I am feeling somewhat better. I can't wear super tight clothes, which are a lot of the clothes I wear with this weather. Sicily in the summer is like living in an oven. I was told to wear baggy shirts. So today, I wore a Nirvana shirt I bought at walmart and a pair of shorts. I looked ready to lay all day in bed, but I couldn't give less of a shit. I've been on house arrest lately, only went out twice when it was Club Wednesday. I've explored every nook and cranny of this house and am sick of it.

I hadn't seen Ash in a while, and Lorenzo took off to the warehouse, Aurora went with him. Giovanni was in charge of us, but it looked like he was leaving too.

I reached the living room to see almost everyone gathered there. What's going on?

"Why the gathering?" I asked, looking around.

There were men inside, armed and in suits. They looked like security guards. Mateo, Veronica and Gabriel were casually dressed, but I didn't miss the earpiece they were wearing. I looked over to see Grace dressed in a skin-tight hot pink strapless dress, starting low enough to flaunt her cleavage and ending high enough to barely cover her ass. She was wearing makeup that made her look even more beautiful and jewelry that screamed rich. She looked sexy as hell.

There was not a single doubt in my mind, this was a job.

My eyes looked over and met chocolate brown ones, that were already staring at me. Their owner was wearing all black. A black dress shirt with a black vest, black trousers and black dress shoes. Definitely going for a bartender. A very hot and alluring one, but that's none of my business.

"We're going out," Giovanni announced. He looked nervous, tucking his hands in the pockets of his navy blue blazer.

I stepped forward and plopped myself on the couch, all their eyes followed my movements, staring intently. "That much is obvious. I meant where?"

He swallowed, "there's a job."

I sighed incredulous, and chuckled. "Again, duh. Where?"

Mateo ran his hand over his hair and sighed, "Barrera Night Club. We have a job, and Grace is doing it."

Ah, Maty. You tend to crack easily.

"Oh, wow," I faked offence and cocked my head at them. "My invite must have gotten lost in the mail—oh wait, we all live together, so that's not possible. Did it get lost in the wind? Pool water? Soundproof walls?"
