I yawned, rubbing my eyes with my fists, then sat up, umba was waiting for me. I said" Hi, umba." He said" Come along, child." He pulled me up with his teeth and I held onto his fur as we walked to the river, umba was a grizzly bear." How was your sleep?" " Good, no bad dream." " Good, go on, wash yourself." I leaned down to the water and washed off my face." Alright, I'll be off, don't go near the humans." I nodded, he walked away, I walked back to the den and ate some berries Raven picked for me. I yawned then laid down again, closing my eyes, falling asleep.
I watched as the woman dropped me in a meadow, and ran away again, it was me as a little baby, I was crying really loudly. Then I saw Umba, only a cub then, he sniffed then walked to me, looking at me, I held into his nose. He sneezed then nuzzled my face, he lifted the basket up and wandered off into the woods again, I Followed behind them. His mommy said" What is it?" He put the basket down," A human? Where's it's mother?" He said" I don't know, mom. It was all alone out in the meadow, crying hysterically." " Okay, well, we have to name it, don't we? What should we name it?" " We're keeping it?" " Of course..." she moved my blanket a bit," She's one of us now." " How about Huntleigh? That's the hunting meadow where I found her at." " Great name, my cub."
I woke up, yawning, then walked to the water, I drank some then saw Doe, I smiled and waved at her. I ran through the woods, playing with random things along the way.
After a while, it was getting dark, I walked around, then heard something. I gulped, then walked closer to the sound... it was an animal? I think? I don't know. I could hear it better, I was getting closer to the sound. I peeked from a bush, and saw two humans... ah! Then I heard a loud bang, I screamed.
Sam's POV Dean shot the skin walker, I heard a scream from beside us, I froze solid, so did Dean. Dean turned before I did, He said" What the hell?" I turned and saw a little girl, not that old, I looked at Dean. She was hidden behind a bush, shaking with fear," Hey, kid... uh, come here." The kid didn't move an inch, then she started backing away. I said" No, no, no, no. It's okay, it's okay, what's your name?" She stared at us in fear," Uh... it's okay, we're not gonna hurt you." She took off, I looked at Dean then took off after her, she's a little kid, what's she doing out here? Dean followed behind me, and I chased after the little kid. She was jumping off tree roots easily, only a little clumsy, she fell down a hole, she yelped. I skidded to a stop, and looked down, She backed into the corner of the hole. I looked up and saw animal's eyes beyond us, I stood straight, she whimpered and jumped, trying to get out. Then she stared up at me, I could see the fear in her eyes, she's afraid of me... of us. I looked at her, softening my look," It's okay, it's okay, trust me, huh? Don't worry, it's okay, We're not gonna hurt you. Can you tell me your name?" She shook her head," Okay, that's okay, Dean, hand me the rope." Dean threw the rope to me, she jumped back, crouching down into a ball." No, no, it's okay. It's okay, it's a rope... it'll help you get out." She stands up," Okay, see?" I carefully took the rope and dropped some of it down to her, holding the other end. She sniffed it," No, no, grab it." She grabbed it, I started slowly pulling her up. She yelped, and looked at me, scared." It's okay, it's okay." I pulled her to me and she clambered onto the ground." Hi, my name's Sam, that's my brother Dean... can we know your name?" She was shaking severely, shivering, I noticed how cold it must be for her... she has on a shredded clothe around her waist, and bark on her shoulders." Hey, can you follow us? Huh? We can help you, you're alone out here." She mumbled" No alone." " Okay, who are you with?" She looked around, a bird landed in a branch near us. " Raven." " Huh?" " Hi, Raven." The bird whistled," Hu- humans, ye." The bird flew away, she went quiet again, " Can you talk to animals?" She nodded," Okay... can you come with us? It's not a safe place out here for you." She looked away from us again, I got a better look at her, she was scratched and bruised up like hell, she needed help. She turned to us, still afraid," Okay... what have the animals said about us?" " H-Humans bad. Humans hurt n' break." " Not us, trust me, I'm not gonna let anything bad happen to you... come with us, okay? Just follow us." She nodded her head a little," Okay... just follow us." Dean and I started walking, she followed behind us, I could hear her whimpers, I think she's hurt but she doesn't trust me enough to take a look.
Once we got to the car, she got very scared and stopped walking, cautious. I said" It's okay, it's okay... Trust me, don't worry, everything's okay." I held out my hand," Take my hand, it's okay. Don't worry, I'm not gonna let anything happen to you." She cautiously took my hand," See, not that bad, huh?" I slowly opened the back door, and she slowly got in, I closed the door... that's when she freaked out. She screamed, hitting the window," No, no, no! It's okay! It's okay, it's okay!" Dean and I rushed into the car, she calmed down, then grasped onto my shirt.
