Axel

We sit here in the rain. The whole idea of possibly losing her tore at me from the insides. She is my air, and it's like I am choking without her near me. I take a step closer; I reach out to her for her warmth, but she only steps away from me. I need to show her who I am. If I can trust her with something, she will come back. Trust will help fix this situation and from here we can go back to us before this whole

mess. "Can I take you somewhere and show you something? Please."

She looked at me with those warm green eyes and I hoped she would say yes. She glanced down and appeared so sad. I hate how much I hurt her. I need to make things right. She looks at me again. She seemed skeptical of everything. "Okay," she murmured. Thrilled by her response, I stepped close to her and pulled her in for a kiss. She gasped in surprise at my movements. I felt her hand on

my chest, and she pushed me back. "This does not mean I forgive you for doing whatever with her," the pain in her voice made me weak.

I held out my hand, hoping she wouldn't let me down. She took my hand and as she walked out from the garage; the rain slowed and stopped. I wonder if she did that; I understand now she is a powerful witch, but she should not be able to control the weather yet, right? She got on my bike behind me, placing the helmet on herself without my help. She continued to wrap her arms around my waist. How is it possible she could be so close and yet be so far away?

We pull out of the driveway, and we headed towards the docks, hopeful. The road twisted under my wheels, but all I could think about was her hands around my waist and how much I wanted them to touch my skin. We rounded the last corner to the docks, and the day was getting darker out, so the street lights were turning on. I drove us up to the building and parked out front. She hopped off faster than I expected. "What is this place?" She asked, while taking off her helmet. Her blonde hair flowed out of the helmet and framed her face so nicely, I forgot to answer her question. I stood still, only staring at her, lost in her beauty.

"Axel? Hello?"

"Hmm?" "I said, what is this place?" "Oh, this is the docks where my uncle works. This place is also where his employees like to hang out." I placed our helmets on my bike and I took her hand, but I needed to warn her. I stop before we go inside. I stop and turn to face her. "You should be warned before going in, the best way to think of this place as a sex den." Just as the words leave my mouth, her eyes grow wide, and she blushes. "Um, okay, and this is where you spend your free time?" "No," I say abruptly, "I used to, but I haven't wanted to since I met you." Her eyes fall down to the ground, then she gives me a half-smile. I tuck a strand of her perfect flowing blonde hair behind one of her ears. "Oh, and one more thing I should tell you," I say as I close my eyes and take a deep breath. "You should understand we are all werewolves," I blurted out and just waited for a response.

My eyes searched her face frantically, waiting for everything to surprise her or for her to be angry with me. She then cups my face and says, "I know." My eyes grow in surprise. "Wait, what did you say?" "I know you are a werewolf Axel, my Grandma told me when she was in the process of telling me that I am a witch." She explained to me. "She knows?" I asked her, confused. "Well, there is a lot of stuff I have learned. If you earn my trust back, and hopefully that is a conversation we can have later." I smile at her and then turn again to go inside the warehouse.

She glances around, taking everything in. Dancers are roaming the floor along with a few on stage. We have male and female dancers because of not only males are werewolves, but females are too. Many people greet me as I guide her to the back where the bar is. Once we are there, I order my typical whiskey drink and I look over to ask what she wants when she tells him, me too. The bartender Ryan makes our drinks, he is my favorite because he always pours a little strong. I set the drinks down, I grab mine and take a sip, and she does the same. I watched her drink whiskey without making a face

tells me she usually drinks whiskey and isn't just trying to impress me.

She leans in over the loud music and asks, "What's behind the door over there?" Nodding to my uncle's office, "Oh, that's where the Boss spends most of his time." "Oh, you mean your uncle? Do I get to

meet him?" "Doubtful. He never comes out of his office unless there is business to deal with." Lucky for me though as I finish that sentence his door swings open and out saunters my uncle.

Oh no.

When he came out of his office, he was wearing black dress shoes with black jeans. He had on a white button up, but left open like usual, so you could see his bare chest. He makes his way towards us. He had locked eyes with her as if she was his prey.

Great.

He held out his hand for her, and she took it. He

lifted it to kiss the back, he says "I'm Alister." She replies, "McKenna." "Oh, my dear, what a beautiful name" with a glint in his eyes and a smirk on his face, I can feel the anger rise in me. She giggles and looks over to see my stone flat face and jaw clenched. She almost seems surprised at how I am reacting. "You are here with my nephew, which must mean, unfortunately, you are dating him." "One could say that is true" the smirk turns into a full-face grin. "What has he done now?" he says,

almost like a laugh. "Lexii," is all that she said, and he nodded like he knew exactly what had

transpired. "Well, this boy is a true idiot if he

messed up his chances with you," he said smoothly as she giggled a blushed. A new song came on,

and he held out his hand to her again, only this time he said, "Care to dance?" She took it and pulled towards the dance floor with others and the paid dancers.

Mother Fucker.
