You know you've given up
When the lies become truth
And the mirror terrifies you
When nothing seems to last
And life no longer has meaning
When the things that once brought joy
Are now just things of the past
When the sun mocks your pain
And all you feel is a never ending numb
When the only option to retreat from the darkness
Is to walk into the light
And never again return
