You went to the hospital with Kyle and Colby. Once in the emergency room they realized your pulse oxygen levels were not to the normal numbers and that you were definitely dehydrated. They got you back to a bed and started IV fluids immediately and started running blood work.
Colby was with you every minute comforting you, talking with you, and answering phone calls. He held your hair as you continued to be sick and even called the nurse when you did so. He was a champ.
You kept falling asleep during the testing but could comprehend some of what was happening around you. Everything was sort of hazy... until the next morning.
You woke up with someone walking into the room. It must be the doctor.
Doctor: "Good morning Miss Y/L/N. How are you feeling?"
You stretched and assessed yourself.
You: "Better but not 100%. Any news on why I'm feeling like this?"
Colby was awake beside you and listening intently.
Doctor: "Well after the blood work we found that you are 90% deficient in vitamin B12. B12 is connected with energy and can definitely make you dizzy, exhausted, pale, lightheaded, and even affect your appetite."
Colby: "Makes sense."
You nod.
You: "So, what do we do now?"
Doctor: "Well we are going to give you a B12 shot and expect you to check in with your regular doctor as soon as possible to talk about supplement options. Any questions?"
Colby: "When will she be able to go home?"
Doctor: "Well the nurse should be in with the shot any minute and after that we want to watch you for about two hours to make sure you are truly feeling better. You should be out by this afternoon. If there is anything else I can help you with feel free to contact the nurse and she'll get in contact with me." He stands and extends his hand to you. You shake it and thank him, Colby does as well.
Colby leans over to you and kisses your forehead.
Time Skip...
Kyle comes back to the hospital to pick you and Colby up at around 3 pm. You received your shot, ate, slept, watched TV, and waited for your discharge papers.
You arrive home to Olivia and Mason in your kitchen cooking.
You sluggishly walk into the kitchen.
You: "Hey you two! What are you doing?"
Mason rushes to your side and give you a hug. Olivia waits until your free after letting go of Mason to hug her.
Mason: "We're making you food."
You grimace.
You: "You're cooking? Ew."
You then smiled.
Mason: "Just go wash up, it should be like... what do you think, Olive?"
Olive: "My guess is the food will be done in twenty minutes and the backup plan pizza will be arriving in thirty, via Justin."
You laugh.
About twenty minutes later Olive and Mason had ruined every bit of the meal they tried to prepare. The smoke alarms had went off several times and the windows and doors on the first level of the house were all open. You all were extremely thankful when Justin arrived with the pizza.
As you sat around the table, Kyle decided to share that he would be asking Hannah to marry him. But he wanted to know if the clan could help him out. To which, you all said yes!
As you all chowed down, Kyle laid out his plans. You were so happy for him, and couldn't help but think about what it would be like when it was your turn to have a ring on your finger. You looked to Colby, who was already watching you. Was he thinking the same thing?
He winked at you as he smiled and snapped back to Kyle when he said his name.
Kyle: "Colby, can you film the proposal for us? I know you know cameras and I would be more than willing to pay you-."
Colby: "Dude, I don't want your money. Of course, I'll do it. You're family."
You could have melted right there in your seat. This man, how dang perfect he is.
Time Skip
You decided to ask Colby to stay with you in your room that night. As you were still a little shaky. He gladly obliged. You forgot how good it felt to be cuddled by him in a bed until you both fell asleep. You could hear his gentle breathing from behind you. So you lifted the arm he had draped over you and turned your body to face him. As you watched him peacefully sleep, you thanked God for him. You were so lucky to have him. You couldn't help but scoot closer to him and plant a few kisses on his forehead. He smiled in his sleep and pulled you closer to him.
You fell asleep hoping that one day you'll fall asleep like this every night.
