Date #2

You head back to the house after lunch and you start to work on the date for the evening. Colby is editing a video and Sam is enjoying a nap.

You set up the date and go change. You peep your head into the boys' room and tell Colby to get ready for the date.
Colby: "What do I wear?"
You: "Something casual."
Colby: "Ok?"
You close the door and head for your room. You put on something like this:

You meet Colby downstairs and grab his hand. You walk out to the back porch and toward the path. He's not been out here yet, but you were excited to show him your plans.

You walk along the path, chit chatting and laughing.

You: "This is where Sam and I were when Olive called and asked if you were supposed to be at my house."
Colby: "I saw some of his pictures, but it's even prettier in person."
You: "We've only got about another quarter mile."
You keep walking and talking.

You: "So, I could have picked between two spots to take you, but I chose my favorite. Here is the other spot, the lake."
Colby: "Wow."
You: "The other spot is up there." You point at a small hill.

You trek up the hill and come across the blanket you had set up earlier.

Colby: "Awww. This is so nice."
You thank him and give him a hug.

You talk for the next several hours until the sun starts to set.
Colby: "I hate to bring this up because we've had such a good day, but tomorrow's my last full day here."
You hang your head.
You: "Yeah, I thought about that earlier." You nuzzle your head into his chest, "I don't want you to go. Why can't you just stay?"
Colby kisses the top of your head and rubs circles on your shoulder.
Colby gets out his cell phone and shows you a screen.
Colby: "I've got a lot of people counting on me, I can't just abandon them and Sam." The screen is of his messages talking about the tour.
Colby: "But, I've talked to my management and they say I should be free to come back at the beginning on September and stay for awhile."
You perk up and face him, "Really?"
Colby smiles, "Really."
You kiss him.
You: "Yay!....." You get a little sad again. "What am I going to do with myself for two months?"
Colby: "Classes and clients. Keep yourself busy....." He sighs, "I know this is going to be hard, but you're worth it to me."
You kiss his cheek, "You are to me too."
You: "Let's promise eachother something."
Colby: "Like what?"
You: "If either one of us is feeling lonely or down we tell the other. I don't want you feeling that way without me knowing. We can always Facetime or I could come visit sooner, if need be."
Colby: "I like that promise."
You kiss him.

You walk back to the house with all of the blankets, pillows, and lanterns.

Colby: "Well, it's time to post our video."
You watch as Colby posts the video. "Doing Face Masks with My Girlfriend."

Colby: "Let's do an Instagram announcement for the video since it is a weird time to post it."
You get in the phone's camera frame with Colby and he does the announcement.
Colby: "What's up guys. I just posted a pretty crazy video. Swipe up to see how my life has changed." He still has some time left in the shot. He unexpectedly kisses you to end the clip.

You break away from the kiss. "That ought to get their attention."

You decide then to watch a movie with Sam and Colby. You also decide to eat more leftovers for dinner. As the movie progresses Colby's phone is blowing up.

You pause the movie. "Babe, you're going to have to silence that thing." You smile at him.

Colby: "I will."
Sam: "What is the response like?"
Colby: "Actually really good so far."
You peak over his shoulder, he's looking at the comments.

Some of the comments are:

"I've been wishing this would happen for sooooooo long! I'm living for this!"

"Congratulations to both of you!"

"#yourshipname for life"

"Colby got the girl!"

"I would be upset about this, but Y/N is beautiful and Colby is beaming."

"Look at how he looks at her!! 😍"

"Cuties.... why couldn't it be me?"

You: "Wow. That is much better than I expected."

You end the night kissing Colby goodnight and hugging Sam.

Tomorrow would be their last day here.
