Meeting Cooper

You are making grilled cheese and tomato soup when the front door opens. Sam and Colby ran into town to get a few things they needed to restock for tour, so you assumed it was them getting back.

You were wrong, it was Kyle and Justin.

You: "Oh. Hey guys. What's up?"
Kyle: "I hope lunch." He says as he heads to the cabinet to get a glass.
Justin: "I hope it's ok that I tagged along?"
You: "Of course, the more the merrier."
Justin takes a seat on a bar stool as you cook. "So... Where's this new boyfriend of yours?"
You look over at him and then at Kyle, who is smirking.
You: "If you must know, we are not dating and he is in town with Sam getting a few things."
You have an idea. "Kyle have a seat." You point to the stool beside Justin.
He sits.
You: "Now I need your full attention. I really like this guy, so don't, I repeat, DON'T scare him off. Also, be nice. I know I'm younger than you, but if I find you have been mean or bully him into anything, so help me I will find you in the night and shave your heads. Got it?" You were pointing your spatula at them. They are smirking, but nod in agreement.
Kyle stands up and salutes. "Yes maam. Permission to speak?"
You: Playing along, "Granted."
Kyle: "Where's O?"
You: "She's swimming out back."

Kyle goes outside. Justin stays and helps you cook.
You: "So how's Cooper coming?"
Justin is apart of the K-9 unit at the local police station. His former pup, Buddy, died in action. He's currently training a new pup.
Justin: "He's doing really well. Here's a picture I took of him yesterday," he says pulling out his phone to show you.

"I actually have him in the bed of the truck. I didn't know if you wanted an untrained pup running around your house."
You: "Go get him. I don't mind at all, as long as you clean up any messes."
Justin goes to get the puppy. You hear the pitter patter of puppy feet on the hard wood floors.
You: Setting down the ladle, "COOPER!"
He comes running into the kitchen.
