Chapter 26 ♔

I chuckled and shook his hand off my shoulder, "Stop worrying so much hyung, I'll be fine. You know I'm not that type of person. Besides, I have a beautiful fiancé to take care of now~"

Unfortunately, Yoojung had to leave so I was alone once again. 

Somi and her friends were still chatting away while I was sitting on the couch playing with my phone, waiting for Daniel to return.

I sighed in frustration, "What's taking them so long?! What're they even talking about??"

"Boo!" I hear a voice whisper in my ear, making me jump in surprise. 

I look beside me to see Daniel laughing in amusement, "Wow jagi, you look so cute when you're scared~"

"Yah stop joking around!" I playfully hit his shoulder. "Anyways what were you guys even talking about?"

He wrapped his around me and ruffled my hair, "Don't worry about it kitten, it was nothing. Anyways did you have a good time with Somi and her friends?"

I sighed, "Uhh not really...but I did make a new friend! Somi's friend Yoojung was really nice. She even gave me her number so we can talk more~"

"That's great! See, what did I tell you? Going outside once in a while can never hurt anyone. I'm glad you're finally getting used to living here," he smiled.

I nodded, "You're right. By the way, I'm getting kinda tired...can we go hom-"

I was interrupted by the sound of the front door opening yet again. I looked over at the door and saw a foreign-looking blonde girl walk in with a very revealing outfit.

Daniel followed my gaze and froze instantly as he saw the girl. 

Huh? What's with him?

"Ayeee our homegirl is finally here!! It's about time!" Seongwoo cheered, catching the attention of everyone in the room.

"Omg hi guys!! I'm so so sorry I'm late!! I got caught up in traffic haha," the new girl said and took turns pecking all the Wanna One members on their cheek.

I rolled my eyes. Geez what is with all these girls and kissing their guy friend's cheeks?  Sure they might be close, but it's a bit too excessive if you ask me.

"Omg hey girl!! So good to see you again! So spill the tea! Have you been seeing anyone lately?" Somi winked at her.

The girl giggled, "Nope! I'm as single as a pringle!" she cheered and started looking around as if she was trying to find someone in particular.

Seongwoo spoke up, "Oh are you looking for Daniel? He's right over there," he pointed at Daniel, who was still on the couch beside me.

She locked eyes with Daniel and her eyes lit up. She then started running towards him with her arms out.

Daniel immediately stood up and caught her right inside of his arms. "Woah...Kelly? Is it really you?" he asked as he gently wrapped his arms around her.

She nodded and dug her face into his chest and inhaled his scent, "Yes Dannie, it's me. I'm finally back. Ahh it's so good to see you again~" 

I felt a little stiff and uncomfortable as I watched their interaction. Everybody seems fond of this new girl, but she seems especially fond of Daniel.

Is she another fangirl of his?  I wouldn't be surprised since he has a lot of admirers...but for some reason, this interaction feels different from that time with Yook Jidam.

With Jidam, it was just a one-sided infatuation that she had with him. He had no interest in even associating with her.

This time, it looks like the feeling is mutual among Daniel and this new girl..

I cleared my throat, causing them to break away from the hug. Daniel looked at me and his eyes widened, "Oh right! I forgot to introduce you to each other! Haha I'm so stupid."

"Kelly, meet my beautiful fiancé Y/N. I met her in Korea and we're going to get married soon," he smiled.

She gasped, "Omg really?! Dannie I can't believe you're actually getting married!" she exclaimed and hit his chest in excitement.

She then turned towards me and reached out for a handshake, "Hi! My name is Kelly, I'm Daniel's best friend from college. Nice to meet you!"

I smiled and hesitantly shook her hand, "N-Nice to meet you to haha...I'm Y/N."

"Aww what a pretty name! You seem like a really nice girl, no wonder Daniel chose you~ I hope you and I can be friends!" she cheered and squeezed my hand.

I nodded and awkwardly laughed along.

Strange. This girl is really different from Somi and her friends. She didn't show any signs of attitude or judgement towards me. She's just...really nice.

A bit too nice if you ask me. It almost seems fake.

I looked at her once again and saw her bright blue eyes boring into mine. She still isn't letting go of my hand...okay this is getting a bit uncomfortable.

Someone get me away from this girl!

Suddenly, Daehwi's loud voice catches my attention, "Hey noona! We're gonna watch a movie upstairs! Come and join us!" 

I sighed in relief and got up immediately, causing Kelly to let go of my hand. "Okay coming!" I respond and start following the Wanna One members upstairs.

Before I went up, I turned around to look at Daniel, "Hey aren't you coming too?"

He shook his head, "No jagiya, I'm good. You can go enjoy. Besides, I have a lot to catch up with Kelly haha. It's been a long time since we saw each other after all."

Kelly laughed and clung onto his arm, "Omg I know right! I have sooo much I wanna tell him! We're just gonna stay down here for a while~ You don't mind, do you sweetie?" she batted her eyelashes at me.

I narrowed my eyes at her, then looked at Daniel. He looked genuinely happy he was reuniting with his old friend. 

I sighed in defeat and nodded. "Alright then, have fun you two," I said and walked up the stairs.
