Josh walked up Tyler, looking anxious.

"H-hey... can I um... have your number?"

"Yeah!" Tyler said, surprised.

"Cool!" Josh sighed, relieved.

Tyler wrote his number down on a piece notebook paper and handed it to Josh.

"Thanks!" Josh said as he walked to his desk.

Class started and Tyler felt a buzz against his leg. Text from an unknown number.

Unknown: Hi this is Josh

Tyler: Hi jish

Josh: Jish?

Tyler: sorry typo

Josh: no it's cool I like it

Tyler: okay :)

Jish: but u wanna call Ty then

Tyler: k :)

Jish: We should probably pay attention to this stupid science

Ty: Ughhhh okay

Jish: (:

Ty: (:

Right as they both put their phones away there was a voice over the loud speaker.

"Tyler Joseph, please come to the office."

"Josh, can you walk Tyler to the office?" Mr. Hurley asked.

"Yeah sure."

The boys walked to the office and Josh left to go back to class when they arrived. Tyler was not expecting to see who was sitting there in the office.

"Ryan..."

Ryan was sitting in Brendon's lap and crying. He had an ice pack on his cheek and he was hyperventilating.

"Tyler, Ryan has really bad anxiety and he goes to music therapy, but that's not 'til Friday so we were wondering if you could play some songs for him," Mr. Iero said pointing at the ukulele in the corner.

"Um..."

"Please Tyler. I just knew you played music please." Brendon said, tears rolling down his cheeks.

"Okay, what do you want me to play?"

"Anything! Please just play."

"Okay," Tyler said picking up the ukulele, "Ruby I hope I see you,"

~~~~
"You're an angel" Tyler finished singing.
"Damn... Who wrote that?" Brendon asked.
"Me"
"That was really good, Play something else."
At this this point, Ryan's breathing had slowed slightly, but was still very quick and he was still crying. Tyler realized was having a panic attack.
Tyler began strumming, "You say things with your mouth, cobwebs and flies come out..."
~~~

As Tyler did his final strum, Ryan's breathing steadied and all Tyler heard from him was the occasional sniffle.

"What happened?" Tyler asked.

"Some of the homophobic assholes in his gym class called him names and beat him up." Brendon said a few stray tears rolling down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry Ryan."

"Tyler, thank you. You may go back to class now."

"Thank you," Brendon mouthed to Tyler as he left.
