Chapter 13: Don't Lose Hope

Y/m/n: What!? Why!? My friend's heart is compatible for Y/N!

Y/d/n: Yeah! What...what happened?

Doctor: We figured only just now that your friend has a problem, she has a leukemia.

I run my fingers through my hair

Y/m/n: I...I thought this is the chance! I was so excited...how could the fate cut me off!?

Y/d/n: Well, don't give up and don't lose hope, i'm sure we'll find someone. Maybe it's not the right day today, thank you for trying hard, doc.

Doctor: *smiles, bows and walks away*

Y/m/n: I can't believe this, I can't believe this!!

Y/d/n: Please calm down..

Y/m/n: I can't!! She's my dearest daughter! I should be the one who will experience this! Not my daughter! I'll sacrifice anything just for her...just for her!! If only I could...give my heart to her-...

Y/d/n: Don't! We even already tried this many times, my heart isn't compatible for her, neither yours! We'll just TRY HARD to find someone else. *Sob*

A tear escaped from my eye but I quickly wipe it away.

Y/m/n: If my daughter couldn't survive...I would kill myself, this is my fault. *Walks away*

Y/d/n: Y/M/N! Haish! Why are you doing this to us, god?! We can't overcome the fate no matter what we do. But, we don't even know what will happen, so I won't give up for my daughter!

Y/N POV

I'm back at my hospital room, it wasn't successful. Why is this happening to me? Did I do something wrong? Unforgivable? Sigh...I guess this is my punishment for doing something bad that I didn't know...

Someone opened the door

Mingrui: Y/N. I brought Xinlong and Suzy with me.

Y/N: ...

Xinlong: Y/N!? Are you okay!? *Runs to me and holds my hand*

Suzy: H-hi, Y/N.

Y/N: I'm not okay Xinlong, so don't hold my hand.

Xinlong: O-oh... *lets go* S...sorry.

Y/N: But thanks for asking.

Xinlong: *smile*

I noticed Mingrui put a red tulip  on the vase.

Xinlong: Hey Y/N! I'm ready to give my heart to you!

Y/N: Don't, Xinlong. Think about your family and your friends, they will be sad, they care abour you and they love you

Xinlong: ...

Y/N: Um, Suzy and Xinlong would you mind if I will talk with Mingrui. Only us.

Xinlong: Huh why?

Suzy: Yea! Why?

Y/N: Please...

Suzy: Ugh!!! *walks away*

Xinlong: Fine...*leaves the room*

They both leave the room

Mingrui: So, what?

Y/N: The transplant surgery is unsuccessful.

Mingrui: transplant surgery? What do you mean?

Y/N:Oh, I didn't tell it to you.

Mingrui: what?

Y/N: Well, a friend of my mom agreed to be my donor because her heart is compatible for me, yet it's unsuccessful  because she has a leukemia.

Mingrui: O-oh... That's...

Y/N: I don't think I can make it.

Mingrui: Y/N? Please don't say that.

Y/N: it's better if I could just...die. because I'm just making my parents sad, i'm making them tired, besides I don't have anything to do in this world, i'm not being cringy, i'm just saying the truth.

Mingrui: Why?

Y/N: Huh?

Mingrui: Why? Why!?

Y/N: What's...wrong?

Mingrui: Y/N! Why?!!! I've got nothing say, even if I say don't lose hope, you'll not listen.

Y/N: Am I making you mad? Sad? Or what?

Mingrui: your making me sad.

Y/N: And if it's you, I'll listen. I will not lose hope.

Mingrui: i'm glad.
