[Chapter 007] - Can't Stop Noticing You

Within half an hour, Ruffnut and I reached school. We had talked about our usual girl stuff the whole way. I had mentioned about my meeting with Hiccup yesterday and now Ruffnut was very interested in what happened and asked for a lot about the details.

I couldn't help but smile at the idea of how helpful Hiccup was. I already felt like I've always known him.

Ruffnut could see that I was standing there, being completely lost in my own thoughts. She couldn't stop laughing and smirking.

We reached the school's front door. Ruffnut grabbed the handle and opened the door for me.

"For the dreaming lady" she teased and made room for me to get in. I gave her a sarcastic smile and went inside.

Today the school was so quiet and calm. There were almost no students in the hallways and many of the doors to the classrooms were closed. This is probably due to the fact that many of the students were starting the morning off by having Sports class... or as they call it here P.E.

The Sports class always took place at the sport-center a little down the street and therefore they should not meet at the school. Luckily for Ruffnut and I, we have been placed on group 2 so we first had Sports Class later today.

Don't get me wrong, I really like having Sports class... but just not that early in the morning...

I looked up at the clock, hanging on the wall above the door, it was already 07:55.

"Come on, let's hurry before we get late," Ruffnut said, grabbing my arm. We jogged down to our lockers to pick up our school books. She and I were starting the day off with History class.

I don't hate History, I just think it's so boring sometimes.

We opened our cabinets, took out our books and went towards the classroom.

As we walked through the empty hallways I was able to get a glimpse of Tuffnut, Snotlout, Jack, Fishlegs and Hiccup. They were standing and waiting out in front of the Biology classroom. It looked like they had a fun conversation going on since Tuffnut and Fishlegs couldn't help laughing.

I couldn't stop looking at Hiccup...

Luckily for me, the boys were very busy with their conversation so they didn't even notice us as we passed by.

"Why don't you go and tell him about your feelings?" Ruffnut suddenly asked when she saw how my eyes were completely hooked on Hiccup.

I shook my head free from my unconscious thoughts and looked at Ruffnut confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked and frowned. I knew well what she meant, I was just trying to seem stupid to make her give up on getting me to admit it.

"I can sense that you... have a good eye out for him," she said with a smirk.

I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Let's just get this class over," I said, grabbing her arm and dragging her to the classroom door.

We sat down on our seats and prepared for this module... Even though I just want it to be over, I still tried to participate...

Finally! Now the class finally ended. I always feel like History class lasted an eternity, we always have to learn about some year I can't remember anyway.

"I better go now, I need to get my charger on my phone in my locker," Ruffnut said as we got out of the classroom.

I nodded and smiled at her. It didn't matter, she was going to Math class and I was going to Geography class. It was one of the rare times of the week where Ruffnut and I had different classes on our schedule.

She smiled again and started jogging toward her locker while I went the other direction.

After class, I went out of the classroom and headed down towards my locker. I was supposed to pick up my sportswear before I had to go to Sports class.

When I came down to my locker, I saw Ruffnut there already waiting for me. I could see that she wanted to tell me something.

"Have you heard it? Hiccup is going to have Sports class with us" she laughed. She knew well that the girls usually loved to watch the boys when we had Sports class.

I started blushing. "...Why are you telling me that?" I laughed back.

"...Just thought I would let you know," she said with a grin. I couldn't help but smile as I went to my locker and took out my sportswear.

"Come on now! And don't mention anything about Hiccup, okay," I said with a serious voice. I don't want to blush or him thinking that I like him... yet.

Ruffnut just laughed at my comment and followed me...

[Hiccup's Point Of View]

This was going to be my first Sports class here at this school so I was a little nervous about how it went. Fortunately for me, Fishlegs and Jack also happened to have Sports class at this moment so I luckily had someone I knew.

We went into the boys' changeroom and found a bench. We had been told that we were supposed to be outside today so I brought a pair of sneakers, black shorts, and a red shirt.

We quickly changed from our normal clothes into our sportswear while we talked about what we thought we would do today.

When we all were ready, we went outside where we could see that many of the students were already gathered up in a big circle in the grass. As we hurried over there, we could see that our teacher wasn't here yet.

I saw Astrid and Ruffnut standing in the circle talking. As I walked by I noticed that Ruffnut saw me. She smiled and whispered something to Astrid, that made her turn around and we got eye contact. I couldn't help smiling at her as I ran past...
