3rd pov y/n was a very rare kind of elf indeed, her parents met in the forests of Katolis when the king of the dragons wasn't looking so many years ago, her mother was a human and her dad was a handsome moonshadow elf, when y/n was born her father rarely visited as the king of the dragons grew suspicious leaving her mother to raise her, she had elf ears and didn't grow full pinkies meaning they were half of what you expect a full finger to be, and it continued to be that way with the way she grew, later as she grew to be an adult, her elf horns were half the size of full horns and her hair was the same as her mothers, but she liked it because she uses them for hairstyles to hide them and likes to hide her ears in her hair as well, making her look like an extraordinary beautiful human being, she fell in love with the kings closest advisor, called Viren after working under king harrow as a palace gardener, that is because he would often look at the flowers with a pure true smile, that is because they often cheered him up, but in secret she has sneaked into Virens study just to get a glimpse at those books, and knowing how she grew up with a translator of scripts as a parent, she was able to read on how to do certain magic spells. Well, luck is running out as she delved deeper and deeper into learning of the magic that Lord Viren has gotten to know, and little did she know, Viren had feelings for this particular Gardner. Y/n's Pov I was just tending to the garden and getting the bushes of which were overgrown by a bit trimmed, and made sure that they were watered and fertilized as they needed to be, I noticed Lord Viren from the corner of my eye, just examining the flowers I have been taking care of, he then turned to me. "Y/n, shave you been taking care of all these plants by yourself?" He asked, " y-yes Lord Viren, as always. " I replied with a slight tremble. Lord Viren then said "they are quite beautiful, especially coming from someone as talented as you for the gardner." I secretly blushed, looking to the other corner of my eye for a second then back at him, " I need to take care of the other bushes, farewell. " I packed my tools and went off to another area of the palace to tend to more bushes before he can say another word to me and make me feel embarrassed as I do have feelings for the man , 'that could have gotten awkward ' I thought to myself putting a sign of relief at the end as well, then Viren traveled to where I was at without me knowing if not for the sound of the fans tapping gently on the ground. I tried to make sure I was focused on watering the plants than focusing on my surroundings so then I would not have to deal with social anxiety, when he sold beside the flower beds, he was mostly silent, but to my peripheral vision, he kind of glanced at me for a bit then back to the oriental lillies, or which were showing off their magnificent orange colors. " why the lillies are showing their radiant colors, don't you think? i am pretty sure King Harrow himself looks upon these flowers with a grin on his face. After all, these flowers do represent royalty, and knowing a good Gardner really helps them grow out to be their best. " he said after about two minutes of staying silent, but during that time of When he was silent and speaking, I felt as if he could see the beads of sweat that were forming on my forehead due to the anxiety I was feeling. When he left the court yard, I then finished up what I was doing and decided to sneak around in the castle, just to look at him, but also making sure I wasn't caught in the process by him or any of the guards, he turned down into hallways and corridors, until he reached his living quarters, which was across the hall from his study. When I was sure that the coast was clear to his study, I snuck in using a key that he has long forgotten and lost in the areas of the gardens, and I also locked it, as I am secretive about it. I went over to the mirror, uncovered it, and took my ears and horns out, as I hate them being in there for too long, also it felt cooler for the ears to do so. "Ah, that felt good." I said gently out loud, as I then recovered the mirror, and went to the bookshelves. I picked up a book, sat at a chair and started reading, " 'after conjuring dark magic, some of it will be left over, allowing you to make a spell without incantation.' Facinating. " I read out loud (this is actually info from the official website,I thought you would like to enjoy a bit of a fun fact... Oh sorry, I will disappear now so then I don't ruin your reading.) , looking down the page, I also read of the certain types of magic you can use without incantation, for example, you can use a flameless torch out of your hand just by using a snap of the fingers, or even conjure flames, that is also felt with the same activation as the spell that was like a flash light. But what I didn't realize was the fact that someone came in the doors and saw me until I heard a voice. "Y/n! What are you... You have horns?!" I looked up from where I was reading and noticed Lord Viren surprised and with a terrified face on his head. " wait! I can explain!!!!!! " I said as he approached near me to examine them as he knew I was harmless to him, and many people. " you have horns, but they are half the size.... " he was a foot away from me at this point. He then put his hand near my face at which I feared for my life he would end me for sure making me look away with my eyes closed shut tightly. But to my surprise he actually then noticed my hand as there was a half sized pinky on both hands he held my hand and I looked. " you are ratherly full of surprises aren't you? " he said with curiousity. " I never knew that you were a half elf, as I thought they were just a myth , but here you are as a half elf, moonshadow to be in fact, but partially. " he said intellectually. " wh-what are you talking about? " I said with fear in my voice. " have you been raised by both your parents? " he asked. "No, my mother raised me by myself, my father visited me and my mother occasionally." I answered to the fullest honesty I can give out. Viren then took the book I was reading. " we're you learning dark magic from this? " I nodded, more relaxed since I told him the truth about my blood. " I didn't want to be a Gardner just to be of a service after I found a key you dropped in the garden. I wanted to return it to you but then I saw the books, and delved into reading.... I hope you aren't mad. " I admitted giving me a feeling like I just barely got the weight off of my chest.. " why would I be mad? I honestly thought that half elves wouldn't be able to happen in many generations from the war going on with Xadia. But it did, and I am glad that I am not the only mage within the palace of Katolis, other than my daughter that is. " I then got up from where I was sitting and he led me to the center of the room. "Y/n, you will always be welcomed here, as a mage myself, I wanted to show you around, but apparently you did on your own, but I will let you continue your journey to becoming a mage." He said to me. " thankyou! " I said as I embraced a hug, he was surprised at first but then hugged me back. " and I was just rereading one of the books just to make sure I am doing it right. " I said in the hug before I broke out of it. "I am just rather curious, might I have a feel of your horns?" I smiled at him and nodded, he then placed his hand on my horn, and rubbed his hand on it as if it were a precious gem that can easily be broken if mishandled. " I was always curious as to how horns feel, I never really got to feel them before. " he said after putting his hand back where it hanged on his arm. " but I am also curious at what spells you can do. " he said backing off a tiny bit, like around two feet. " go ahead. " Viren motioned to me as I took out a shell. " it is ok if I use it on you, right? " he nodded. "Eciov eht leats" I said as there was a green misty hand that reached and graves his voice. He looked surprised as he can't speak, but I gave it back as I wanted to be fair to him. " quite a talent you poses y/n. " was the first thing I have herd him say with a chuckle since he got his voice back. "Y/n, I was wanting to ask you a question and I was wondering if you would like to go on an activity with me later tonight." The request shocked me as I thought that he had put me in the friend zone all this time, " sure thing, where will we meet eachother? " "perhaps we can just have a stroll by the gardens? Or would you prefer something different?" 'He asked me a choice?!!!' I thought to my self" Maybe not the gardens, as I spend approximately 6 hours there everyday doing what I do for those plants at flowering season, and that is hard work and determination alone on my part. How about a walk through town, or even the forest? " " the forest can have some potential dangers awaiting us, but I am pretty sure that we would be fine. " he responded stating the obvious. "Well I guess you can say that is the fun in having an adventure." I said as a joke, we both have a laugh. "Alright the forest it is, I guess there is a good place where I can show you there. " he agreed on the decision before realizing that there needed to be work done as the kings closest advisor. " I need to go, y/n you should probably cover your ears and horns before you go. " he helped me cover my horns with locked of my hair as I put them in place by a singular hair clip, leaving just enough hair to cover my ears. "See you tonight." I said leaving his study, catching a glimpse of him smiling at me. I closed the door behind me hoping not to alert the guards as I went out once more to the gardens to make sure everything was watered and took off to the townsfolk to get some well deserved jelly tarts from the baker. I had been in the sun for 6 hours and I needed a distraction from that by activating my tastebuds with something sweet. " y/n, my favorite customer, jelly tarts like the usual? " the baker was then grabbing some of his finest works of sweets and gave them after I payed. "You know me well." " thank you, come again! That is unless of Prince Ezran decides to steal the rest of my sweets with that pet of his. "He said the last part with a mumble loud enough for me to over hear as I take my bag full of jelly tarts and head off home. ---------a few hours later------------ I got ready, with a hooded cape to hide my ears and horns, as well as materials to use as there will probably be a time when I may need to defend myself, so it is there just in case if I need to defend myself. As well as my nicer clothes, not quite on Lord Viren's level but some what normal and not filled with dirt like my gardening clothes. so I came to the edge of the main kingdoms village where I saw Lord Viren with a black stallion " shall we go? " he said offering me a hand on the horse as I take it to get on, seated in front of him. We both gallop into the forest of night, listening to the gentle wind that brushes by and the occasional cricket or owl sounding off nearby. As we rode on, I took the hood covering my horns and ears off letting them air out under the heat from the exact hood. 'ah, the ears wanted to be uncovered' I thought to myself, we then went off the road. "Why did you do that?" I asked " oh there is a place away from the road I want to show you. " he responded as we both went into the cover of trees, roadless, we then made a stop where they was a crack in the base of the woodlands. "We are here, but before we go inside, wear this blindfold, it's a supprise." He then have me a white cloth and helped me with it before helping me down off the horse, and took both of my hands and led me from what I can see in the areas I can see in the crack. As I went in, he snapped and I sort of saw a light. But after a bit he turned it out, and then led me somewhere with a sort of teal lighting. " take the blindfold off. " he said as I followed what he told me to do. The area we were at was amazing, with wisps floating off in the area, gently glowing and illuminating as what I would think is like a fairy grove, and I am just imagining it as I know they aren't real. " it's beautiful! " I said. " this is where I get resources sometimes, and well, it works out, giving me resources for healing spells and even tracking spells. " He said. Picking a flower he knows there is plenty of in the area. " here, for healing. " it was kind of like a sunflower, except with purple and pink petals. "Thank you." I said accepting the flower. For the rest of the night we talked about things like his children of who I rarely see, and how the flowers in the castle gardens also had meanings. I eventually went home and slept. ----------------1 month later----------------- Viren and I went off and met each other once more to go out on a date. This time we were going over to the Banther lodge. " well, no one is here, so this is actually perfect. " he said bringing out a picnic blanket and basket. " it is funny, we are doing this at night. " I said as we both chuckled. We set up and had a picnic under the stars. After we finished off the food we played down and tried to find constelations " Look over there, it's a moon Phoenix constelation. " I said, he laughed. " that's a good one. Look here, an arch angle lunaris. " he pointed out. "And over here, a griffin." I said. For a while it went silent in till he spoke again. " would you want to be with me? As a dating partner? " the way he said it was so sudden it made me laugh, " oh your serious.... Hehehe, yes. " I responded. He then layed on his side and gave me a sweet kiss on the cheek. "Well, I admire you my healing flower, and I promise to be there for you too." A/n: Hey guys! I am SO SORRY for not completing this sooner, but I hope you like it as this is the second Viren story I did. I enjoy it a lot.
