kenzie's pov
so yeah, hayden and lauren broke up. after johnny asked me to be his girlfriend and i said yes, we went to find lauren and hayden in baggage claim. both of them had tears in their red eyes, standing a few feet apart in silence.
"is everything okay?" johnny asked them trying to think about what possibly could have happened. lauren sent me a look and i immediately knew what happened.
"lauren come with me for a second?" i said grabbing lauren's hand and taking her down the stairs of the airport.
"you guys fucking broke up?" i asked, my voice filled with rage.
"yes we motherfucking did kenzie. why are you so mad the fuck?" lauren yelled at me. i could tell she was hurt, really hurt.
"i'm sorry, i'm just so shocked..." i started. "i knew you guys were having problems, and hayden told me his thoughts but i didn't think it would end... with this." i said looking down on the floor.
"it's fine. it's for the best i guess." lauren said crossing her arms. i wiped a tear away from her face.
"you sure? because you're going to be spending the whole two weeks with him for the last two shows. isn't that gonna be..." my voice trailed off.
"it won't be awkward because we're still friends, best friends. we aren't losing what we have over a stupid breakup. yeah, maybe i hate him a little more for breaking my heart but i'll get over it... hopefully." lauren whispered signaling that johnny and hayden were coming close. \
"so..." johnny broke the silence as we all stared at each other awkwardly.
"sooo...." i said trying to keep the conversation alive.
lauren and hayden looked at their phones, disconnecting from us.
"these two weeks are gonna be something..." johnny said, as i nodded in agreement.
