"I know nothing about your situation," Subaru stated bluntly. He could feel the grip on his sleeve loosening before he jerked his arm away. Watching as the girl's crimson eyes start to dim, he gritted his teeth in dilemma.

"This silver knife..." Subaru started. Yui perked up upon hearing the vampire's voice. She glanced at him to see a beautifully designed silver knife, kept in a off-white sheath, resting on his open palm. "...can be used to kill vampires like us with just a single stab to the heart." Subaru stared at the knife in his hand fondly as he spoke.

Yui widened her eyes in shock. "B-But, why?"

This time, Subaru flared up. Shoving the knife into the girl's chest, he growled and pierced her with his darkening crimson irises, "SHUT UP! Stop asking so many questions!" The vampire spun away from the girl before stomping off, teeth gritted and eyebrows angled downwards as he disappeared into the darkness.

Yui stumbled back in shock, before glancing down at the knife. She tightened her hold on it.

"So, are we leaving, Yui-nee?" Takashi's voice brought her determined crimson eyes to the male. She nodded.

A smirk grew on the male's lips.

Ensuring that all his valuables are kept in his backpack, Takashi grinned in satisfaction. Pulling the zipper, the bag was swung over the male's shoulder as he stood at the door, looking back at his (f/c)-themed room.

The bed had a hump, the blankets over it to suggest that someone was sleeping there. The cupboard was still packed with clothes Takashi had brought over. The table was still a mess of stationaries and the room was kept in its everyday state since Takashi inhabited it.

'Looks perfect. As if I never left.' Takashi grinned, proud of himself. He turned to the door and placed his hand on the handle, his onyx eyes shining in anticipation as his heart raced. He twisted the handle.

It did not budge.

Takashi furrowed his eyes in confusion. Using greater strength, the male turned the handle again only to see that it did not budge again. Feeling for the lock, onyx eyes widened as Takashi turned the lock, but found out that it is stuck in its locked position. 'Wha?'

"Going somewhere?"

Takashi froze in his actions. Suppressing the slowly rising fear at being discovered, Takashi threw a remark, "Didn't know you for the active type, Shu."

The mentioned male only kept his gaze on the smaller male's back, his earpiece void of sound.

Takashi chuckled at the lack of response. "Well, if you excuse me. I'd like to go to the garden to do my homework. I'm sure that's not such a big of a deal, is it?"

"Lies."

Takashi almost burst out laughing. "'Lies'?" He whirled around to face the blond vampire, an innocent smile on his lips. "How possibly can you think I would lie to you?"

Shu narrowed his blue irises. "I can sense it."

Takashi shook his head, laughing. "I don't doubt your vampire senses, but I'm pretty sure they're incorrect," Takashi stated confidently. As much as he wants to deny, he couldn't help feel the fear of discovery crawling up the back of his neck.

Shu remained unconvinced. He took a step forward, slowly advancing to the male. "Your heart is racing. The blood is moving fast, under the thin sheet you call 'skin'." His blue orbs clashed with Takashi's own onyx, forcing its path through the windows of his heart.

"Your breath is uneven." A step.

"You are starting to sweat." Another step.

Shu came until he was less than an inch from the male who stubbornly stood his ground, glaring at the towering male. Slowly lowering his head, Shu's nose came close enough to touch the other's as he rested a hand on the door behind the male. "Is that enough proof for you, Miss?"

Takashi felt his resolve shrinking, his fingers slightly twitching as he gulped down a lump in his throat. His face grew red, feeling the mixing of his and the vampire's breath. 'Shit. I must get out of this fast! Yui-nee's waiting!'

Shu watched in amusement as the face in front of him contorted into multiple expressions, onyx eyes darting around in search for a way out. Shu silently laughed. It's fruitless. He trapped her.

The corner of the vampire's lips suddenly twitched upwards as he watch the onyx eyes lock onto the open window in the room before clashing back with his own blue ones, glinting with confidence.

"Alright alright, you caught me," Takashi started, leaning closer to Shu who slowly started to back away. "But isn't that the logical thing to do?"

Shu continued backing away as he silently laughed at the 'male's' attempt, leading the duo to the open window.

"I mean, what sane person would want to stay in a place that they know they're gonna suffer forever?"

"Die or die trying, I'm sure you would know."

"Haha, but like I said before, I will find a way out." A smirk grew on Takashi as the duo stopped at the wall beside the window, the tall vampire plastered on the wall. "Just not today~"

With a massive swing, Takashi chucked his backpack at the vampire. Shooting a hand out, he grabbed onto the ledge of the window and pressed his toes down for a jump. A determined grin slipped onto his lips as adrenalines rushed through his veins. He could feel the night breeze brushing his bare cheeks and see the freedom awaiting him. 'At last! I'm gonn-'

"Such a simple-minded girl."

Instantly, onyx eyes dilated.
