" dice of luck "

Nodding, Lisa tried to fix herself as they both headed to the door. Taking one last glance on the notebook where they decided to hid on Irene's drawer, she mustered up all the courage she has walking all the way down to the living room.

"I call this game, Roll the dice."

October 27 / 12:39 AM / Living Room

As the two young ladies headed to where the voice guided them, there, their remaining family never looked this lifeless. They've had enough.

Some of them wanted to restㅡ for real. They've been hurt physically and was ruined mentally. As if someone just shoved a spoon full of poison up to their throat only to heal them after taking up those poisons.

The living room has this vintage wall that has two doors in front of them with odd and even carved at each one of it. Yet the cherry was too flashy for it not to be noticed, two normal sized die are placed in the middle.

"Now, now my lovely players. Before anything else, let me just thank you for participating yet another fun and entertaining game!" He announced as a crow went by the room of silence.

Exhausted sighs can be heard across the room as they're about to meet the angel of death themselves. Yet, there's only a few who are lucky enough to meet the ferry man though.

"I'm so done let's get this over with." Yeri muttered as if she was about to have a mental breakdown at any moment. She had breakdowns before, but it was nothing in contrast to what she's having since they entered hell.

They have all been suffering; they are still suffering. October never felt like a singularity expanding infinitely up to what we call a universe. Not until this day came.

"Now players, face the wall and line up side by side." They do as they're told like a puppet on a string. "Player one, roll both dice and sum the numbers. As you finish, head at the door with the carving of the number you got."

The clicking noise sent shivers on every player's spine as silence filled the room after Irene closed the door. And then, it went, one by one. Every noise pierced their ears as they take different rooms. Lalisa who's been clutching the hem of her dress felt like she was clutching a thorned rose.

A silent torture.

"Player 17, the dice is yours.." as she turned to roll the dice, prayers were nothing. It has nothing to do with luck. If you're lucky enough, you'll be saved, if not, you'll rot. As simple as that.

'..Odd.' She thought as she summed the numbers five and six in total. Heading inside the odd number's door, she took one last glance at the remaining player that is about to know their faith after rolling the dice. 'Seungwan..' Then, she headed inside the door.

The inside of the room was unknown, it was shaded with different types of black as it was also piercingly quiet, just like how it was outside. As Lalisa took a step inside, it felt like she fell on a dark hole. 'It felt so much like in my dream.' she thought as an exhausted chuckle escaped her plump berry lips.

She huddled into a corner as she do not know who's sitting inside the same room with her. With her orbs wide open, it was nothing but darkness engulfing her into a passionate embrace ㅡ so she closed her orbs. It was very lonely. As much as she have been scared of the past happenings, this was different. The whole room internally screams like hell.

After a couple of seconds after resting her orbs, a muffled weeping eased the intense silence as it echoed throughout the whole room. She was sureㅡ it was Irene.

"Unnie, I don't know where exactly are you in this room right now but I'm certain that he loves you and will probably tell you to cry as much as you want but stand up afterwards okay?" Lalisa faintly muttered trying to cover up the sadness in her voice.

The door swung open as Seungwan was obviously included with them. As minutes passed by, the weeping became faint as it totally faded away.

You see, Namjoon died and the pill that was meant for Irene? he swapped it. That's why Irene is so burdened by the pain. It makes her so mad knowing her closest cousin died for her. She lost the only boy best friend she had in her whole life.

A few more minutes passed when suddenly, the four cornered room they're inside of was powered by light. Everyone bolted up as if they're a deer caught in the head lights. They were not given enough time to process who's inside with them after gasses started to fill each corners, leaving them with no choice but to hold their breaths.

Due to the rapidly spreading of the gas ㅡ Yerim ㅡ who was about to stand up was the first one to pass out, leaving her body fall lifeless-like into the floor. Instinctively, Yugyeom hurried to catch her as he slowly slid down the wall after the gas took tool on him as well.

As everyone slowly gave in, Lalisa too was not an exception. Gunshots can be heard on the next room. As much as Lalisa wants to coordinate each and every cell and move each muscle in her body, its no use. She inhaled too much gas ㅡ they all inhaled too much gas and have too much pain in their hearts to fight.
