A battle of heartbreak

Midoriya's POV

After a couple of fights it was now me and Shoto's turn.

I got up and hugged my boyfriend (author-chan owo)

"Good luck don't lose to that Icy Hot bastard ok?" Katsuki said

"I won't! You can count on that" I said giving him a thumbs up and flashing my wide grin

I walk onto the field and prepare my fighting stance. I can't hesitate here.

"You May begin."

Those words triggered me to break into a run rushing at Shoto. I was about to punch him before he ducks and makes a wall of ice.

"Don't think I'm gonna go down so easily. Izuku." He said

Todoroki's POV

It wasn't necessary to say her first name but I'm sure that got Bakugo's blood boiling. I don't plan on forcing them apart. More of letting her see how I feel and letting her naturally choose. I'm already loosing her heart but from what Bakugo said. I know that Izuku isn't dedicated to him fully

(Author-Chan: What he means by this is that Deku isn't fully in love with Bakugo and he sees an opportunity to make her fall out of her stage.)

Today is a battle of strength and love. Will your love be enough to motivate her to win or will her own strength lead her?

I sent another wall and she flicked them away like they were nothing. She's improved and can control a certain amount of strength. It's not enough to knock me out but strong enough to defend against my ice attacks.

"Don't intend to let yourself only be defending!" I screamed at her

Her eyes widen and she smiles

"Thanks." She said before rushing up on me again

Instead of her normal strategy she jumps last second and attacks me from above. She grabs me and throws me across the field.

"You seem out of it today. What's wrong?" She yells as I get up

"I um- it's nothing" I replied looking at Bakugo's increasing angry face

"No tell me! If I win you'll tell me!" She screams while flicking her finger. She takes this moment and pins me with her fist above my body. "I'm gonna win either way now so might as well tell me" she says cheerfully. Accepting defeat I said

"I love you."

Loud gasps are heard

Midoriya's POV

"I love you." He said with a empty expression

"Sho.. you know I can't return those feelings.." I said

"I don't know.. Bakugo told me the other day.. that you weren't in love with him.."

"And Bakugo gets to decide my feelings? Bull shit!" More gasps.

"I've been in love with him since we were kids... I can't see myself with anyone but with. And just the thought makes my heart ache..." I said

"I see I guess I was wrong about having a chance.." he said with tears running down his now sad expression

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you cry.. please stop.." I said feeling really bad

He grabs me and lips me lightly and we both pull away immediately after realizing it

"I'm sorry.. I'll just go I've probably caused Bakugo problems." He said while running off

"Izuku you ok?" Katsuki said running up to me and I could tell he was supressing his anger.

"Yeah I'm fine I just feel bad.." I replied

"About the kids don't worry I believe you didn't do anything to cause 'that'" he said with a sad smile no longer looking mad

"I'm glad you trust me" I said hugging him

Todoroki's POV

I always get the short end of the stick huh?

First I lose my mother and now my heart is broken.

(Btw I don't intend to make this a tododeku ship but I like the idea of him getting over his pain he'll end up being happy so don't worry)

"Hey mom.. can I go visit you?"

"Oh hi Shoto of course. I'll look forward to see you anything else with honey?"

"No nothing is wrong I just wanted to see you that's all."

Tears stream down my face as I let out my frustrations. I'm confused hurt and lonely. Who wouldn't feel like shit?

"Hey Todoroki Mr Aizawa wants you back on the field" Momo says creating some tissues, "I don't really get all this too well but I'm here for you ok?"

"Thank you Yao-Momo. I already feel a lot better let's go." I said walking back with her

Coming into view of the class I could feel all eyes on me. Luckily they were concerned worried looks, except Bakugo who was glaring at me like he was about to kill me. I deserve it, I tried to get in the way of her happiness. I don't understand why she wants him but if it's her wish.

I'll respect it no matter how much it hurts
