A/n: I should have mentioned the beforehand but, this book takes place in an AU where five never disappeared, but I can't figure out who should be the face claim for his aged up self. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Nyela soon befriended all of the Hargreeves children, but her best friend was Vanya. As you can predict, they bonded over both of them being ordinary. When the umbrella academy was out on missions, Nyela and Vanya would play games where they were in imaginary worlds and for once, they were the heroes. They would braid each others hair, and Nyela would tell her what public school was like. While Vanya played the violin, Nyela never really got the hang of playing an instrument, but she could sing. 
"Nyela, sing a song", Vanya requested one afternoon. She nodded and thought to herself about what to sing before deciding,

As she sang, they didn't realize that the academy had returned from their mission, as Nyela's back was turned away from the door, Klaus leaned against the frame, he was intrigued as he had never heard her sing before, it was such a miracle how she had come into his life, that made him think of the meaning of her name which he had barely thought about before

"A caring person, a guardian. One who defends others"
Maybe she was in his life for a reason.
