"Nakalimutan kong sabihin sayo na right after your graduation, diretsyo tayo sa Vancouver,"
"H-huh? Bakit po sobrang sudden?,"
"Alam ko, I was shocked to, pero I need to be there, and gusto kita isama, since Kit is going to Spain, and I'm giving the maids a month off, pero, okay lang ba yun sayo?," tanong ng tatay ni Ara sakanya.
Tumango naman ito.
"Okay anak, I'm going to settle everything, we are leaving the day after your graduation,"
"Understood po," anito sabay ngiti.

"Do your thing ok?", anito kay Maris.
"Yes yes," she said while rolling her eyes.
"Sure ka bang di ako mahuhuli? You know I don't like to handle lots of things, especially kung di naman dapat ako yung bumitbit nun," ani Maris.
"Yes, I've settled with that, ok ka na? Go!" she shouts, Maris just rolls her eyes and continued.

Bago pa man pumunta ng school she receives a text
Ara, I'm so sorry, but I need you now, nakikita ko nanaman lahat
Dahil gamit ni Ara ang sasakyan niya ngayon agad niya itong iniliko para makapunta sa direksyon na kanyang patutunguhan.

Chase felt good today compared to yesterday, nakapagpahinga siya ng maayos.
Bago pa makapasok ng campus nakasalubong niya si Mark.
"Oh, you okay now?", tanong agad ni Mark.
"Bakit? Ganun ba kaobvious na wala ako sa mood kahapon?", natatawang tanong ni Chase.
Tumawa rin si Mark sabay tango.
"'Ge bro, I'll go ahead, mag group meeting pa kasi kami," paalam ni Mark at tumango naman si Chase.
Dahil wala pa naman siyang gagawin, napagdesisyunan ni Chase na tumambay muna sa labas ng saglit.
He grabs his phone and texts Ara.
Hey, where are you?
Seconds later she replies.
I'm not feeling good today, so I'm staying at home.
While Ara texted this sentence, she felt her heart beating roughly, and as if someone's pulling it. It hurts.
Really? Do you want me to visit you?
Shit.
No, do your requirements and all, I'll be fine, I'll go to school tomorrow.

"Si Chase ba yun?", tanong nito kay Ara noong nakita niyang may katext ito sakanyang telepono.
Tinanguan naman siya ni Ara.
"Pasensya ka na talaga Ara, alam kong mahirap ang sitwasyon ngayon, sorry,"
"Ok lang," ngumiti naman si Ara.

Chase was in his normal mood today, just the right amount of happy and quiet. Though he's a little bothered that Ara isn't feeling well today.
It's their lunch time and they've decided to eat together.
"Sandali nga, absent nanaman ba si Hart?", Bolt asks, hearing his name, Chase felt the sudden urge to punch someone which he successfully controlled.
"Yup, still no sign why, no clue, whatsoever," sagot ng mga kaibigan niya.
"Kung kailan last month na ng school year tsaka pa nagaabsent yun," ani Yam.
But Chase remained quiet the whole lunch time.
He was in a deep thought, Hart, asan ka na bang gago ka?

"Handa ka na ba?", tanong ni Hart sakanya.
"Ewan ko, hindi ko alam, kinakabahan ako,"
"Ako rin, kaibigan ko yun eh, naiilang ako ng kaunti," ani Hart.
Nasa loob sila ngayon ng sasakyan. Naguusap para sakanilang gagawin.
Hindi alam ni Hart kung bakit niya ginagawa ito basta ang alam niya, mahal niya ang babaeng iyon ay di na siya makakapayag na may makakuha pa sakanyang muli. Hindi na.

"Asan na si Maris?," Kit asks her.
"Andun na doing what I'm paying her to do," she said na naging dahilan ng pagiling ni Kit.
"Why are you doing this?," Kit asks her.
"To make them feel how I did, simple as that, and no one can stop me,"
She's determined. Very determined.

Since Ara was absent, it felt like it was a quick day for Chase.
But he's still waiting for his car because it suddenly got a flat tire, all his friends left and he's the only one here now.
Pagkatapos basahin ni Chase ang text na papunta na raw ang sasakyan niya.
He saw it again.
Hart's car.
He's sure about it kasi nakita niya ito.
And f*ck, it's like an anchor was dropped to his heart.
Yet again, he saw Hart, with Ara.
She said she wasn't feeling good.
Is this what betrayal feels like?
