A dinner to Remember

Kayla POV

I was sitting here in her car. She's still holding my hand. Gosh! First she's not okay with the marriage, then she's suddenly okay with it. Must be my charming. Then to my shocked she's introducing me as her fiancee. Wow, can be this be my lucky accident after all? I guess we are here already at my house. Well, I still live with my parents. Not that I can't afford to live alone but its just my parents are getting old. I want to be with them most of the time although we are all busy in our work at least we can see each other. So back to reality. I greeted our maid which is they greeted me back. And this girl behind me is just standing, like she's afraid to move. I'm not gonna bite though. Well sometimes yes, I am a bitch. I am well known as a strict person and I am aware of it. I like it though. But I am also loving. As long as I am in a nice mood. Like right now. I faced this future wife of mine. Well, I kinda like the sound of it though. I cleared my throat "ahm Doc AC?" I asked she gulped "y-yeah?" wait, is she nervous? I raised my eyebrow "thank you for the ride and for taking care of me" I said with a sweet tone more like flirting, well can't help it. She really looks hot with her simple casual outfit. "It's my pleasure ms. Fields, and by the way I have to go" she said while scratching the back of her neck. She always do that whenever she's nervous. "Eat with me first" I said with an irritated tone. I guess she's declining my invitation. "Let's have dinner before you go home" I revised my invitation. I guess I am so desperate with her presence. I observe her. Her beautiful green eyes. Her perfect nose and long eyelashes. She's staring at me intently. Then she step closer, now we are face to face but she's taller than me. I am looking up at her. I can feel her hand caressing my cheeks. Then she said "how can I decline my future wife's invitation" I was confused. I just stared at her. Asking for her to clarify. "Of course I'd love to." she said while smiling. Now I know I am blushing intensely. Then someone behind me cleared her throat. God who the heck is that? "You're very gorgeous, sexy and smart sister? Got a problem sis?" my sister answered. Wait did I just said it out loud? "Definitely yes Kayla" Alexys answered while smirking. God I hate that smirk of her. Now I am blushing ten times earlier. I cleared my throat to face my good timing sister and she's smirking as well so I just glared at her. "AC is eating dinner with us" I said "Oh cool, now I can finally talk to my future in law" my sister said while smirking and winking at AC. "Cool, I would love to" Alexys answers. Don't tell me they're flirting in front of me. Argh! "Don't worry sis, Alexys is not my type, not that I don't like her actually she's beyond my standard, so no need to be paranoid" my sister answered bluntly. Wow so I am talking out loud now. I have to fix this habit of mine. Alexys just laugh and shrugged. We talk for awhile while waiting for the dinner to be ready. And I have discover that she always travel to different places to have a medical mission thrice a year. Wow, no wonder her patients live her that much. Especially Kevin. I can see that she is really passionate with her job. But I still hate her for forgetting me. I hope that someday she'll remember me. I just listen to their conversation with my sister and her, not that I don't want to interrupt but I find it amusing listening to them. Then she caught me staring at her so she wink at me and I just rolled my eyes to her. "So when is your wedding? My sister asked to no one in particular. "It depends to your sister, whenever she's ready" AC/Alexys answered. "Ahm?" I answered but I don't know what to say. "She is always ready for you Alexys" my sister answered for me. Thanks but no thanks sis. I am gonna kill you later. I just glared at her. "Then we got no problem with that then." Alexys answered while glancing at me. Of course there is. I am not an easy to get. "But I would like to get to know her better" she said. Yeah, that's right babe. Wait babe? No way. She needs to get my precious approval first. Of course I am looking for an effort from her. "Well then you guys should hangout sometimes and have time to each other" my sister said. Wow, she's getting matured. High five sis. "Cool, I would love to as long as your not busy Kayla and so do I" she answered while staring at me and looking for approval. "Its up to you" I answered nonchalantly. Then after that deep conversation we are now eating dinner. I keep glancing at her. She's eating like a queen. Her poised were so perfect. My sister just keep on eating while glancing on her phone then she look up at me then to Alexys but she's focus in her eating. My sister maybe felt the tension of silence so she started to ask me if how did I got accident then it caught her attention. Then her phone began ringing it came from a caller ID name Jenny. Wow maybe that's the nurse Jenny that having a crush on my fiancee. Yes my fiancee. I am accepting it right now. She's debating herself if she'll answer or not. I hope not. Please don't answer her. But unluckily she did answered. She excuse herself. Okay, now what was it? She can actually answer it here. Not that I am gonna eavesdropping but well maybe a little. Then she came back. She stares at me, then to my sister. Wait is she leaving? She's not finish yet. "What?" I asked her like I am demanding to explain herself. "Look, I got a call from the head nurse and I have to be there at the hospital" she explain. I just sigh "I thought its your free day?" I asked "yeah its is" she said while sighing "then stay for tonight!" I said with a high pitch tone. My sister was shocked as well as her. "No I can't, I love to but I can't." She answered while standing up. Now I am getting mad. "So is this going to happen?" I asked. "Happen what?" She asked. "Nevermind, go!" I said while walking out. I am actually mad at her. Why can't she have time for me. I can feel she's following me. But I keep walking until I reach the fountain area of our front yard. She hugged me from behind. "I have to check operate this patients, my colleague explained to me that she only have 45% to live, and I can't just let this happen" she explains while I just stayed silent so she continue to explain "she have aneurysm, and its affecting her nervous system, my colleague says they can't do anything about it so I would like to check for it by myself and see what I can do, if you're thinking that I might not gonna have some time for you then you're wrong, I will try my best to put you on my schedule, I will make time for you, I will always makes you special" she said so I face her. I am controlling myself not to cry. "Kayla, I like you very much" she confessed. "Even if our parents won't set us an arrange marriage I know that if we're meant to be then we're meant to be. Remember you have cast right now? It only means that there will still a chance for us to meet and know each other. So Kayla, I would like to take you on a proper date, lets forget about the proposal, lets just enjoy getting to know each other, so ms. CEO will you let me Doctor Anderson to take you on a date? she asked me, I don't know what to say. I just nodded while smiling. Then she hugged me so I hug her back. I am so happy right now. "I have to go Kayla, remember that you have to rest, if you're going to your office please let me know okay?" She said I just nodding. "I have a great dinner with you" she said while caressing my cheeks. "I'll see you soon babe" she said I am blushing thank God its dark here, she just called me 'babe'. "Okay" I answered. "Take care Doctor Anderson" I said and she just smiled. She pulled me closer wait is she going to kiss me? "A dinner to remember with you" she said then she kisses me at my forehead. How sweet she is. "Me too" I answered. Then she let go, walk to her car. I just watch her until her car is not by sight anymore. Sigh* I missed her already. But I can't help but to smile remembering our moment. When someone pulled me from my thoughts. "Well what a scene to remember sis" my sister said while winking at me. "Oh shut up" I said to her. "Whatever sis, you're red as tomato" she said, I just rolled my eyes and proceed to my room. I have to take a shower but its hard to do so maybe a bath tub will do. Argh! Why do I have this cast? Well not bad, at least I have a great time with her. She's not difficult to hangout. I am interrupted with my thoughts by my phone, a message from unknown number.

Unknown number: 'hey! I just got to the hospital, just want to let you know. Have a good night. See you soon 😗.

Unknown number: btw, its me your doc AC/Alexys/Anderson. Well whatever name you'd like to 🤣😉

Okay now I can't help but to smile. Okay save number to contacts. Name? Why not?! Typing 'my doctor❤'

I replied back

Me: 'okay take care, and thanks again for taking care of me.' I hit send.

My doctor: 'its my pleasure babe. Btw got to go to operating room. Good night 🙂'

Me: 'okay, good luck and good night 🙂' I answered then lay down my phone on the side table. I can't stop thinking about her. After my bath I change to sleeping clothes then off to bed. After I drink my pain medicine for my shoulder I calmly smiling drifted to sleep.......
