Headmistress Evergood. No way she's my opponent. How could that be? I used to have bouts with her when she trained me, but I always lost. Only until I beat her one day (out of pure luck) was when she stopped training me.

Evergood is only 25. Pretty young for a hunter. By her title you might think she's old, but she's not. She has Long, brown, wavy hair. And right now she's wearing her combat outfit. Her eyes are two different colors, from what I've seen in old pictures. One blue and one green. She wears an eyepatch over her right eye now, she's told me it was from an accident.

"Did they-." I started.

"Make a mistake? No, I assure you, you have improved significantly since our last bout." She said while she was tying up her hair.

I decided to retighten my ponytail. I don't think I can beat her. She's powerful. She refused to take up a high spot in the High Chamber. She's more powerful than people on the High Chamber. I shook my head, I had to get to Adamantite class no matter what.

She looked at me and smiled "Trying to copy my style?" She pointed at the eyepatch. I forgot I was wearing it.

"No, not really."

"I suggest you take it off, it'll affect your balance."

"I assure you it won't."

"You probably have been wearing it for only a couple hours though."

"That's true."

"Then won't that just be a handicap?"

"Not really."

"What happened?"

"A familiar happened that's what."

Her eye widened. She touched her own eye patch. "A familiar?"

"Yes...her name is Lilith Snow."

"Is she..." she didn't finish. Instead she got a pocketknife and threw it my way. I let it. It sliced my eyepatch and fell away revealing my eye. She gasped.

"Impossible...how can this be? You have a true familiar?"

"Yes...does that matter?"

She regained her composure and smirked. "I guess I finally have to show you."

She took off her eyepatch and revealed that her eye also had a pentagram. It was as bright as ever and green. It was a different pentagram than mine, but I knew it mean she had a familiar. A true familiar. I guess she chose to have it in her eye too.

"We will finally be on the same level." She sighed.

"What are you talking about? Even before Lilith I could probably still beat you." I fibbed .

"We'll see about that." She said.

She began with throwing knives at me. I dodged them all easily. I summoned a prick spell and threw them at her. She deflected most of them, but a couple hit where I needed them too. I summoned an Elemental Disk and turned it into a big spike, and threw it at her. Right before it could hit, I turned the spike into even smaller spikes so she didn't have time to deflect all of those. They hit home and she fell to her knees in pain.

"Wow. You have gotten a lot stronger haven't you?"

"Yes. The elemental disk is only a level 5" I said.

She laughed "When you have your true familiar, all the attacks you have learned double. It's now a level 10. Your senses are also very heightened. Though it won't be noticeable until later tonight."

"Really? A level 10 hurt you?"

"...no."

I knew it, she was pulling a fake out. She came at me with her own elemental spike and stabbed me. I yelled. It hurt, just not that much. I took the spike out and checked my wound, it was already almost healed up. I smiled. Maybe I could win this thing. I shot her again with the prick spell and it hit home. She grunted but was coming closer.

She used earth magic and decided to grab my wrist with the earth. I struggled but couldn't get free. Damn it. She came closer and used a darkness punch. I coughed up blood. She seemed to be enjoying using her full power on me. I used a darkness kick and kicked her stomach, she wasn't prepared and went all the way to the wall where she hit her head hard. She got back up and was coming towards me, her sword in hand. I grunted and finally broke free of the earth manacles. I got Lucifer and ran towards her. She dodged and tripped me, while I fell onto her knife. I coughed up more blood and I cried in pain.

I looked and saw that it had gone through me. I took it out and threw the sword aside. I put my hand towards my stomach and felt the blood gushing out of the wound. It was quickly closing though. I came at her again and swiped at her thigh, where it cut a major wound on her thigh. She grunted but kept attacking me. I couldn't win like this, I would have to play dirty.

I would have to use my teleportation. I teleported right behind her and sliced at her with Lucifer. This time she fell. Blood was pouring out of her back, healing slowly.

I turned her around and said "Don't have the will to fight?"

I got earth magic and had poison Ivy tie her up. She looked at me and smiled.

"Good job."

"Thanks. Now, I know it doesn't really hurt, but I want to try this one thing if you'll let me..."

"Go ahead."

I smiled darkly and got Lucifer. I pointed it at her contract eye and willed Lucifer to become sharper at the end. It work.

"Now, I'm pretty sure this is going to hurt a lot more than my backstabbing so be ready." I sighed.

"Wait! Don't!"

I sighed. "What? It doesn't break the contract or anything, it heals automatically. Plus don't you remember what you did to me all those times I lost?"

She sighed, "I guess your right, but don't go too deep or I'll die."

I smiled darkly and slowly pushed the tip of Lucifer into her contract eye. She screamed while blood gushed out of the wound. I slowly took Lucifer out and saw that he had absorbed her blood. Cool. I released her from the vines and saw that the she was facing the other hunters. She had her hand over her eye.

Okay so I was a bit of a sadist. Don't judge. But she's done much worse

"One more time." I said as her eye finished healing.

She didn't stop me. I think it was because of how much I drained her. I moved her hand from her eye stabbed again. I went a little deeper and she screamed in agony. I took Lucifer out and saw that he had absorbed a lot more blood than before, and he had become sharper than before.

I held her shoulder and whispered "I win.". I let her go and she crumpled on the floor. I walked away and let the rankers come in and take her. One ranker came towards me so we could proceed to the next part. I believe the next part was the mana test.

I got to the table where the spells were and saw how much mana they took. I chuckled, these only took about a 100 mana each, nothing too serious. I could definitely do these. I had about 25 to do. I quickly did them in a couple minutes and I saw that there were more than 25 mana tests. I kept going and saw that these were 500 mana. I had to put more effort in this, I don't know how much mana I have since Lilith but I assume it was a lot. After these mana tests I was given 8 mana test that were around 1000 mana each. I don't know how high my mana is, but this is a lot of mana to waste. I quickly did them and saw that I didn't feel tired.

I stood up and Evergood walked in with a limp in her step. "Oh, by the way before this test I did a Super level mana spell." She nodded and calculated my mana test plus the super level magic spell. She then tested to see how tired I was.

"Sorry for roughing you up so bad." I said.

She smiled. "Oh it's quite alright. This is the most fun and pain I've had in a while."

I smiled. I hugged her and looked at the leg I slashed. "Mind if I heal that?" She nodded. I I did a heal spell and healed her. She walked away, no longer limping. I dreaded what was coming next.

The Intelligence Test.
