She was taking quite a while so I began to explore the obsidian room. I saw a table of ritual knives and began to pick each one up and examine it. Their was one that particularly struck a nerve. It's handle was made out of human bone and the blade was made out of some kind of gem with a turquoise hue.

"What kind of ritual knife might this be?" I asked Lilith sensing that she was now in the room.

"Which one? Oh that one I believe is a ritual knife made of human bone and Paraiba Tourmaline."

"What is that?"

"I'm not surprised you haven't heard of it. It's an extremely rare gemstone."

"Can we use it? For the ritual I mean."

"If you wish, you can have it converted to a dagger if you wish to have it after the ritual."

"Really? I can have it?"

"Think of this knife as your lollipop." She smirked.

I blushed "Thanks."

She looked away and said "Shall we get started?"

I nodded, we didn't have to sing the whole songspell all over again (thank goodness). We just had to sing the verse of darkness and the last verse. I remembered Lilith's silky voice, it was heavenly (pun intended). I think to her my singing must have been good, otherwise I feel like she would have stopped me. I looked at Lilith and nodded at her to begin. She smiled and took a deep breath, unlike the first time, this time her voice took on an ominous, dark tone.

Disclaimer: This part is not my own. I will include the video up top. I felt that this "songspell" best suited my needs for this part of the story. The original song is by Hitori Omou. The video above is by Amanda Lee, (Amalee) from her YouTube channel "LeeandLie". I have changed some of the words and added some verses to suit my needs as well, but the overall song and music is not my own. Thank you! Enjoy reading! You can also read this as a chant!

You are the ocean's gray waves
Destined to seek
Life beyond the shore
Just out of reach
Yet may the tide ever change
Flowing like time
The path is yours to claim
Thou call the dark
With an unsheathed sword
Gaze upon an empty white throne,
A legacy of lies,
A familiar disguise.
Sing with me a song
of conquests and fates
The shadow towers over the light
Calm the sun to tarnish in the sky.
Vow that we may tear the light, dark sees the throne.
Night breaks through the day
Pierced like a sword

I remembered I had to join in, I took a deep breath and grimaced as I stretched where I was burned. I heard Lilith's voice suppress a laugh while she tried to finish the first verse. I smiled.

You are the ocean's gray waves, destined to seek
Life beyond the shore just out of reach
Yet the tide ever change, flowing like time
The path is ours to climb
In endless dreams, countless realms collide blood mixes with water
Hope falls only to rise like the changing tide
But all dreams come to an end,
Light and dark fight for the throne
Sing with me one last time, for the Earths sacrifice,
Endless peace came but not without a price,
Lost in the waves, a pale blue stone seeks those who bring peace.
I think of you, all alone...

(This next part is my own)

As the last note rings throughout the room, I walk toward Lilith with the ritual knife I have. I cup her face, she smirks, I bet she thinks I'm going to kiss her! I tilt her head to the left and put the knife on her skin. I flinch as if I can feel the knife cutting through my skin. She grabs my other shoulder and squeezes, which increases my urgency.
