For the next week Tom and Tord avoided each other which was very difficult considering that they were supposed to be preparing for the arrival of their campers together. They spoke to each other only when necessary and it was even harder at night when they shared a bunk bed in the counselor room.

The day finally came where the campers would arrive. Tom and Tord stood next to each other, a stony silence filling up around them as they stood patiently waiting.
