It was finally Candy's lunch break as she made her way into the hospital cafeteria going over to the counter she was about to grab a turkey and swiss sandwich.

"Hey, Carla.."

She turned to see it was Mike only this time he was in his blue scrubs and white coat.

"What," she mumbled.

"So how is Cody doing in school?" he asked.

"He's doing fine he doesn't need a tutor anymore." she rolled her eyes.

"Well how..."

"Your services are no longer needed." Candy told him.

He smirked.

"You weren't saying that the other night," he whispered in her ear as he walked passed her.

Candy said nothing and looked away only to notice a lady looking at her.

Candy gave her the what are you looking at eyes and walked off.

"Mom why do I have to get a tutor... Cody whined.

Candy turned and looked at her him.

"Because you need a little more help than the other kids but..."

"I'm not slow am I?" he asked.

"No, of course, no sweety you just learn differently, and that's ok.

"Ok, Cody mumbled as they walked inside the small building and sat in the green chairs in the lobby.

While waiting Cody was on his phone and Candy was flipping through a magazine.

"Hey, mom I'm going to the bathroom."

"Ok Candy said flipping through the magazine as he walked off.

As she was looking at a recipe for chicken curry.

"Carla, what are you doing here?"

She looked up to see it was her co-worker and head doctor at the hospital, Mike.

"You work here?" Candy asked surprised.

He grinned.

"Yea I do part time tutoring here."

"Oh well, the school recommended this place for my son."

Cody walks back up to them.

"Speaking of which here he is."

"Cody this Mike, your tutor." She introduced them.

"Hey there."

Mike placed his hand out.

Cody looked at him for a moment before Candy nudged him to shake Mike's hand.

"Well I'm going to let you two go and get started."

"Ok, we will be done by five-thirty," Mike told her then he and Cody went into his office.

At five-thirty Candy was back at the building to pick up Cody from tutoring as she made her way to Mike's office she could see him and Cody laughing and talking while walking up to the door.

"So how was everything?" Candy asked as the office door opened.

"It went good just worked on math," Cody said.

She looked at Mike.

"He did a good job, but there are still some things he needs to work on

Mike grabbed a business card and handed it to her.

"Here's my office number just in case he needs more one on one tutoring."

Candy looked at the card and put it in her purse.

"I'll let you know she smirked.

"Come on Cody let's go she said as Cody followed her out of the building.

Side note: Cody has a learning disability

Candy was not with Tristan they were divorced.
