"I still can't believe that you remembered me saying I wanted to go ballroom dancing." I grinned, as we walked into Dan and Phil's apartment, warm air thawing my numb fingers, the hallway lit in a tenderly, warm glow. Phil must have left the lights on.

"Of course, I knew the moment you mentioned it, that I would eventually have to arrange a class for you, even if I wasn't going with you." Dan admitted. It warmed my insides to know that even when we weren't dating, or even very close, he still thought about doing those kinds of things for me.

He took my coat and hung it up, continuing to chat about the evening. I began to head upstairs, Dan following shortly behind.

"And dinner was beyond lovely." I smiled as we reached the top, standing outside the living room door, I wrapped my arms around his neck, and he looked down at me, wrapping his chiselled arms around my waist.
"I am in awe of you." I practically whispered, "You're absolutely amazing."

My insides boiled up with bubbles of pure tension and excitement, knowing what was about to happen, feeling it in my loins.

"So are you." He pressed his lips to mine, gently at first, and then slowly building up, every inch of my body burning with excitement and passion.

We moved down the hallway, slowly, still locked in embrace, Dan turning the lights on as we went, his eyes closed in the moment of tight intensity, my skin tingling under his every touch.

We crashed down into his bedroom, and I kicked the door shut, kissing him as I was pushed up against it.

Breaking away momentarily, I whispered, "what about Phil?"

Dan paused. "What about him?"

"We're gonna do this with him next door?"

"He isn't in." Dan replied, smirking, "I thought for a second you were asking for Phil to join in."

"God, no."

Dan chuckled, "thank God." He kissed me again, this time even deeper, my back still pushed up against the door.

My mind was clouded, the only thing I could fully focus on were our breaths syncing up; Dan's hands slowly and delicately found their way to the zip on the back of my dress; my fingers trembling as I unbuttoned his shirt.

I stopped a moment, leaning back against the door. Dan opened his eyes, dazed.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah- I just- I haven't done this in a while." I confessed, pressing my lips together. And I hadn't, even back then, with the few people I had done it with, it had never felt like it did now. It had never been this overwhelmingly intense.

Dan nodded, "How long?"

"A few years."

"Same." Dan paused, looking me up and down for a moment, "Do you want to, though?"

"Yes." I said, without much hesitation at all; because I knew I wanted to. I'd never wanted to this much, my loins seemed to scream for it. "God, I want to." I mumbled, kissing him again, my eyes fluttering shut, feeling a sudden calm rush over me; I felt safe, and I was ready, and my nervousness was subdued and I realised I needed this.

He let his shirt slide off his shoulders and onto the floor, then slowly sat down on the edge of the bed as I inched myself onto it. Everything seemed to be louder; intensified as he moved closer, his chest bare and chiselled, sending chills down my arms.

With slow movements, Dan inched the dress down my torso, over my legs, then over my ankles, my skin alive under him, absorbing every touch as if it was the first. Every inch of me seemed to burn, on fire from the pure heat of the moment, from the excitement and from the nerves.
