After a discussion between the three Kiras, it was decided that Misa would have to sneak into L's office to see his name because she couldn't remember it from when he was Ryuga.
A few days later:
Misa went off to find L in the police department and see his real name. Then she'd give it to Light and Yukana. She went into the building (the other investigators payed her no attention) and loooked in each room. She finally found him in the main office space, staring at his emails. She looked at L's head, and could see his life span and real name. It was L Lawliet. She crept out of the room, got out her phone and called Light.
Light: What is it, Misa?
Misa: I found out L's real name.
Light: WHAT?! Tell me!
Misa: L Lawliet
Light: (writes his name in the Death Note) I did it.
Misa: I'll go check.
Looks at L, who has collapsed. People crowded around him, yelling: "Ryuzaki!"
Misa: It worked!
Light: (silent)
Misa: Light?
He hangs up. Finally, finally, L the great detective was dead. By Kira's hands. Now he was free to kill without worry of being caught; he will kill all criminals and Misa. And then, he will be the God of the new world.
