I've lost all confidence and assurance you used to provide
My heartache used to only be cured by you
My heartache now is only caused by you
I wish I understood what made the difference
What changed
Was it me
Or you
Who chose to back away
To drift off
Maybe it was both
Maybe we both realized the differences caused by the hands of times and realized
We no longer worked
But maybe we gave in too soon
Too easily
Maybe we should have fought to stay by each other's side
fought to keep our love
our friendship
But maybe we did the right thing
Maybe, it was all inevitable
