Chapter 5

I awoke quickly, feeling a breeze cover my body, lifting the hairs on my arms. I opened my eyes to see myself.. above the ground?? I was above the world and I wasn't falling, but I was going too high up, somehing gripping my arm and pulling me super high and super fast. What will happen to my oxygen? I closed my eyes once again but nothing happened, maybe this is just a dream? I slowly open my shut eyes and saw the black figure release it's grip on me. I was falling! I couldn't scream or shout. It just wouldn't come out of me. I felt tears release from my eyes as I started to fall down faster and faster, not being able to do anything but fall, waving my arms and legs around aimlessly. I braced for my death as I tumbled through the trees, feeling a sharp pain stab into my side as I was falling through a patch of thick trees. I just kept falling and falling, crashing into trees and branches on my way down. Luck was on my side when a water source below me became closer. I braced myself for the fall and hoped that it would be deep enough to last the fall, and thankfullyit did. I quickly started to swim to the surface of the water, feeling myself being sucked under deep. I swan quckly feeling my last breathe leave my body. I broke the surface and gasped, I brought myself to shore with my arms and collapsed, just lying there. I felt the pain from my wound start it's affect, sending shooting pain through my body. I reached to touch the wound, and felt a thick, rich liquid fill my fingers tips and stretch onto my hands. Blood. I needed to find help and get this patched up. I groaned and lifted myself up, looking at my surroundings for the first time. It was beautiful and mysterious, but dark. There was not a lot of light from the sky. The sky was a dark grey with little light peaking out from the huge full moon covered by their partnering clouds. I sighed and fully stood up, turned on my heel and started to walk.

I was walking for at least 30 minutes when I saw smoke rise above the tree tops. I headed towards the smoke in hopes to see someone and get help. Maybe I would find a village or a town, someone who could help me, tell me where I was and assist with my wound. I reached the outskirts of the source of smoke and decided it wouldn't be a good idea to just march on in there. They could be murderers for all I knew. After thinking quickly, I decided to hide in the bushes for awhile and see if I can spot people.

I waited there for only 5 minutes until I saw a young boy appear from one of the tents. He looked to be no older than 15. He was tall with short black hair and bright brown eyes. He headed towards the biggest tent that was in the clearing. By the look on his face he didn't seem so friendly, but I could be wrong.

I head towards the beach that I saw on my way down falling. Maybe that would be my best bet for a place to stay. I quietly left, trying not to make a noise as I snuck away.

I reached the shore and decided to find th safest place to stay. I decided on a place just between the forest and the beach. I got out my knife I had with me still from the long day I had back at the farm in my back pocket of my grungy mom jeans. I still cannot believe I'm not on the farm, what the hell was that thing? and what was happening? I was unbelievably happy, but at the same time I was frightened. I didn't know where I was.. Well maybe I did, but I didn't believe it.I looked around and gasped as I spotted my backpack, sitting on the shore of the beach. I forgot I grabbed that, I must have dropped it when I blacked out. I smiled and slung it over my back, grunting at the pain coming from my side. I made my way back to the treeline, grabbing the knife and started cutting some branches from the trees. When I had enough of those I collected some dead branches for fire and such. I finally collected some of the big leaves I saw in the forest 5 minutes away for shelter, making my hut from the things I collected and starting a small fire, not too big so It wouldn't be noticed. Staring at the tiny flames under the make shift smoke room I made, I decided to crash. Well I didn't decide, it just happened. Sleep took over my pained body.
