Opening her office door, Nora was taken aback by a bouquet of red roses sitting on her desk. She already knew who they were from before reading the card:

Have a good day.

-Matt

P.S. Let's do lunch, please?

She smiled at the gesture, but quickly turned that smile into a frown remembering that she had a pile of work to do. A new shipment arrived at the store today so she had to do inventory, place new items in the store and take care of the incoming customers. Though she had Kristin and Neal to help, she had to work on new sketches and of course a sketched idea for Melanie's dress.

Around noon, Matt called Nora's store hoping she'd agreed to go to lunch with him. On the other end of the phone, Matt cleared his throat and asked, "Did you like the flowers I sent?"

Nora couldn't bear it; Matt's voice was even more sensual than the last time she heard it. The smooth sound of his voice gave her butterflies or knots in her stomach; she couldn't decipher. She had to just hold on a little bit longer. "They were lovely. Thank you."

"I'm glad you liked them. So, are we on for lunch?"

Though he wasn't standing next to her, Matt's soft low-toned voice sent chills through Nora's body. That made it harder for her to turn him down, but she had to. She had to fight it if she was going to get any work done. Though she yearned for him, Nora took a deep breath and "I wish I could, I have a ton of work to do. I don't even think I'm having lunch."

Matt was disappointed, but he didn't tell her that. "It's alright, there's always next time." Matt let out a light sigh.

Nora stared at the clock and remembered she had a client coming in at one o'clock. "I have to go."

"Alright then." Matt's tone of voice said it all, he didn't want to say goodbye to her. "Don't work too hard."

Nora noticed it too, she didn't want to say goodbye either. "We'll talk soon?"

"Sure."

Though Matt had to end his conversation with Nora, that didn't mean he ended his thoughts about her. All he could think about was her soft red luscious lips as he kissed them once upon a time. He remembered how her body craved for his as his did hers hat night he invited her into his arms. Just the thought of Nora made Matt miss her, though he only known her for a few days. Could Matt be under a spell as well?

Later that evening Nora decided to work on the sketches for Melanie's dress. She was honored to be Melanie's maid of honor, but she was more honored and excited to make her best friend's dress. She knew Melanie was into high fashion designs, but Nora wanted to create a dress that fit her friend's unique, girly and sexy chic style. For inspiration, Nora went through a few old photos from their high school and college years. As she skimmed through old photos, Nora couldn't decide what type of dress design would best fit Melanie's style. Trying to narrow down her ideas, Nora searched for all the pictures that captured Melanie wearing an elegant a dress.

Nora first got an idea from the picture of Melanie in her sparkly teal dress for her high school prom. Nora remembered the day her and Melanie went to mall to pick out prom dresses. When Melanie saw that teal dresses, she knew that was the dress she was going to wear to her senior prom. The dress was three hundred dollars but Melanie was determined to get it, so she begged and begged her parents for it until they finally gave in. Another picture that Nora found of Melanie in a dress was the group picture taken at her parent's 30th wedding anniversary party. Melanie's parents wanted everyone to wear black and white to symbolize that being in a marriage isn't black and white. Melanie was wearing a spaghetti strapped black and white diagonal striped fitted dress. The last picture Nora found was the picture she took of Melanie and Ben at their engagement party. Melanie was wearing a black halter top tutu-like dress with sparkles in it.
