Tris's POV:
My eyes open to a bright white light.
"Hey. You're up," Caleb says.
"Yea," I say squinting my eyes so it adjusts to the bright light.
Christina walks in.
"Hey," she says.
"Hey," I reply. "Um... Where's Tobias?"
"He said, he doesn't want to hurt you. He was out by the lake."
I get up.
"Tris. You're not well," Caleb says.
"Caleb, I'll be fine. You forget what faction I'm from?"
"Fine. Be. Careful."
I nod and walk to the lake.
I see him throwing rocks. Making them skip against the water.
"Tobias?"
He turns to me, startled.
"Tris," he says.
I walk over to him.
"Tris, stay there. I- I don't want to hurt you."
"Tobias. You won't hurt me."
I walk closer to him do there are six inches between us.
"You wouldn't," I finish.
"Did you forget who my father is?"
"Tobias. You are nothing like Marcus."
"I hurt you!"
"You were under brain control."
"But I was--"
"Tobias," I say and put my hand on his cheek. "Do you want to hurt me right now?"
"No. I would never hurt you."
"See?"
"Tris--"
"Tobias. Do you love me?"
"Yes. I love you."
"Then why would you want to hurt me?"
He sighs.
"Tobias. You would never hurt anyone that you love. I've known you long enough to know that."
I kiss him.
I pull back.
"Put a little passion into it," I say.
He laughs.
I kiss him again and this time he kisses back with a lot more passion.
