After school, Jughead walked back home with nothing to do.

The school day was pretty normal. Other than the horrible atmosphere.

Luckily, nobody died. People were only injured.

Other than that, nothing new.

As Jughead arrived back home. He saw Veronica sitting in the couch.

"Oh, you're back." He said.

Veronica waved. "Just came back."

"Cool." Jughead rolled his eyes.

He went upstairs to his room, for any reason in particular.

When he got in, he saw something that made him stop in his tracks.

A brand new laptop, followed by a new typewriter on his desk.

He hesitated before checking it out.

Could be a trap. He thought, immediately looking for any suspicious cameras or bugs.

It was completely safe.

Like a child on Christmas morning, Jughead couldn't help but smile. A dorky smile was glued to his face.

He went downstairs to ask Veronica a few questions.

"You seem bright." Veronica said, watching the smiling boy walk down the stairs.

"Do you know who gave me the little gift in my room?" Jughead asked.

Veronica just smiled. "Guess."

Jughead's smile grew even wider. Which was really weird. His lips have never experienced this before.

He ran back upstairs.

"You're welcome!" Veronica shouted.

Jughead was setting up his new little toys.

The computer took a while to set up, but he managed.

Should I give her something in return? He thought. For all the things she's done for me.

While Jughead was setting up, he thought long and hard.

Trying to think of a way to thank the raven haired princess.

He shook his head. Nah. She's already got the money.

As soon as he finished, he began typing immediately.

Oh, how he missed the satisfaction of typing.

He could say the same for his new typewriter.

Eventually, Jughead went downstairs.

He was on the couch, with his new laptop on his lap.

Veronica was at the dinner table, eating leftover salad. She was scrolling through Instagram.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Veronica looked at Jughead, waiting for him to get up and answer it.

Jughead looked at Veronica, waiting for her to get up and answer it.

A few minutes have passed, and the knock on the door repeated.

Jughead groaned. He got up, and opened the door for whoever it was.

It was Betty.

"Betty." He said.

"Jughead! I need to talk to you." She pulled him outside, closing the door.

"What is it?" Jughead asked.

"Well, I just wanted to take a little walk." Betty said.

Bughead began walking, throughout the the park.

"So," Betty started, "I'm pretty sure you've noticed, but it's been a while since we've seen eachother. And I'm guessing that you sense that I'm ignoring you."

Jughead nodded. He obviously knew what she's going to say.

"Yeah, I've noticed. Why?" He played along.

"Because," Betty hesitated, "we have to break up." She closed her eyes.

Although Juggead was acting surprised, "we have to break up" still made his heart turn.

"I'm sorry." She apologized. "It's just, the farm said that if I do this, then-" she stopped talking.

Betty hated seeing Jughead like this, even if it was the right thing to do.
