In the last two chapters Cassidy has been struggling with her mental health. She gets to a low point in her life where she feel like she has no one to surround her, and she wanted her life to feel better, and she felt that the only way to do that would be to cease her life completely. She plans to do this in front of the woods of the old Hale house. Before she does, she gets a call from Isaac Lahey, who saw her Instagram post and was wondering if she was okay. When she replies that she's not and doesn't get a reply back, she then proceeds with her original plan. Isaac calls her almost a minute after she texts, and calls her, barely after she had already gone through with it. Isaac frantically tries to ask her where she is, and she finally responds with "I'm home," before she closes her eyes, possibly for the last time.
